B&N cu service sucks. I spoke to a rep a week ago & they said they would replace my charger & I should get it in 2-5 days. It's been a week so I followed up, they said they could not update my info thats why it wasn't sent. I had to end up ordering one online. Great tablet but cu service sucks bad.
@ledhicks Your comment made no sense. It's got expandable memory so adding another 16GB to the 11GB it already has only costs about $15. Then you've got 27GB in total ;)
personily i dont like ereaders but this ones is alright but for 250$ come on. YOu could get the blackberry playbook for a little bit more and and size 16 32 64 for the same price and there adding in android apps and it has one of the best cameras on a tablet thumbs up if you agree
@xkidskash14 U should get the NOOK tablet. I have it and it rocks. My dad got the screen protector 4 it and he had some paint or marker on his hand and it went on my nook. I am mad at him... Its not that visible cuz I have a adorable case.
@xkidkashx14 On the Kindle Fire, you can install apps from Android Market or Amazon Marketplace. Nook blocked that a couple days ago which means I won't be buying one.
@tbone9714 One thing anout the Kindle Fire you can only buy the books off Amazon Store. The Nook You Buy The Books Anywhere. Im not going to force you to buy anythng. But Honestly I Would Recomend the nook for you. IN MY opinion but you choose whats best for you. :)
Barnes & Noble Tablet has no relations to Amazon whatsoever. This tablet comes with 16gb and can be extended via a micro sd card, which you can purchase at Best Buy. All books, magazines, newspapers that you purchase are connected to a BN account. Music, videos, or other files you add on can be saved on a micro sd. I work for BN, I know what I'm talking about.
Just root this thing, even though it has a locked bootloader you can at least probably free up those 15gb in the near future if you get the tablet (plus the expandable memory makes it infinitely more valuable than the kindle fire as you can also side load those amazon services if you want).
@AstrotardJones not only that but supposedly you can take it into a barnes and noble store to the Nook stand that many of them have at the front, and request they change the partitions so that you have more than your initial 1gb of completely free.
My bf got me a Kindle Fire for my birthday and I love it. It's lightweight and easy to use straight out of the box. The first thing I recommend anyone with a new Kindle do is install the nook app. We got our instructions from kindlemad through google.
It basically unlocks all the Android marketplace apps and unlocks the device. Super happy!
@secondlifereviewer You're very right. It isn't not connected to Amazon or itunes whatsoever. This is just for Barnes & Noble. It is at 16gb but can be extended to 32 via micro sd
Another typical, outstanding, review x laTimesGuy! This guy is always thinking.
Answer to the "loop", "hook", "key chain" on one corner of the Nook: in engineering we'd call it an "orientation loop"... it allows you to reach into your pocket, shoulder pack, purse, whatever and pull the Nook out and "know" what side is "up" to power the device up.
@weweboom It was upside down because the power button would be activated if we would have had it right side up. Kind of funny, but that button down there can get in the way.
Poor lcd
