@danielololaysas Although I kind of agree on you there Daniel, that's not completely true. The best animations that Microsoft came up with for Windows is Aero. Mac has gone a variety of animations for the desktop composition. Besides that, you also have to remember that the animations also depend on your Graphics card, and your speed. Do you really want a good OS, but crappy animations 'cause of your card? No. Mac, has 9600 GTM, right? I think so.

That's what I used to think, But after play with vista (I have vista ultimate) it is far more superior. I still have xp on my desk top, vista's on my notebook. Vista is easy to use has way better features and networking is fantastic.

I play COD4 COD5 and FSX not a problem at all the games load up quickly except for FSX but that has a lot of files to load up. you should have at least 2 gig of ram or more because vista needs more memory to run but it manages it better than XP. plus it has DX10 but it is only good if you have the 64bit edition. get home premium

Those are some fairly weak arguments. Some are completely irrelevant (3,4,5, &10) or based on opinions (6, 7, 13). MS doesn't make computers. They aren't responsible for: blinking lights, parts, or crapware. The third party company's handle that. Apple now recommends you use an antivirus. I will give you the boot up time , the sleep mode and the useful apps out of the box. Windows is lacking in those departments.

load vista drivers for graphics card, be sure to uninstall current driver set, if unable to do so, go into Safe Mode and do it there, if still unable, back up data and perform a clean install, on first boot load VISTA drivers, restart, then start loading individual drivers, if still not working, might be BIOS conflict, i had a similar issue and you may have to flash your BIOS

After having went through both ubuntu+CF and vista aero, I truly have to say, vista is my preferred OS. Everyone says its a system hog, blah blah, but...even I, with my subpar computer, am running aero without one hiccup. And also-- theres not real hassle with vista. No stupid installation using terminal, just one button does it all.

Ubuntu+CF is for losers with tons of time on their hands, vista is for us rational folk.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium, but I can't find Windows Aero anywhere! I read all the instructions and stuff, but they only tell what Windows Aero does, and wich version you need for Windows Aero (My Home-premium version should have it, but it's not there).

I had the same trouble on my desktop I had to get a better graphics card. Now I can play the games and they are in 3d and can do the flip thing. Theres a place where vista shows your score if your graphics are a 1 then aero won't work. hope this helps
