I haven't counted all the Americans teaching at Finnish universities, but so far I've had at least eight Americans teach me at university. Still, I'm not sure how this is relevant as there is that little language barrier that might make teaching in Finland difficult for some Americans.
And I don't think that it have any matters if Finland is indepent in 1917 and america in 1776. I'm very proud that I am born in Finland and only this country is the best country in the world!
Education in Finland is the best in the world. Universities don't cost anything. Americans think that they know everything about everything. Well, most of the people don't even know where the Europe is or what it even is. Or where Finland is. Finnish people learn at school where is USA, China, Brazil, Australia and the other countries of the world. I have been studying english seven years now (I'm 15) and I have basic skills what I need when travel.

That´s correct. I´m from Norway and I get very angry when Dennis Miller uses the fjord-expression on Finland. It is Norway that can go fjord ourselves. We have very beautiful fjords in Norway and it is actually a very nice experience to get fjorded.

Newsweeks study measured quality of life.Quality of life measures how good life peolple have in average.If you have a lots of poor people you have many that aren't doin' so good.Poor in USA is very poor, rich are very rich.Thanks to social security in Finland poor people can at least get their basik needs fulfilled.Not so many poors and not so many of them - good life in average.Still mid-class has more than enough.In USA people don't want to pay for common wealth just for them selves.
