Lynyrd Skynyrd is ,(by far), the best band ever to play southern rock n roll.Not only are the lyrics great but the music is fantastic. I wish bands would get back to the old blues and rock sound.I do enjoy todays rock n roll but rock has sadly lost its lead guitar,bluesy playing style.it almost tells a story in itself .

The muscle cars they drove and the music they rocked out to was so very cool. The movie Dazed and Confused does the best job capturing that time. great tune. like it or not, you have to give skynyrd and RVZ credit for great lyrics and music. Great guitar sounds/riffs as well. This music comes from back in the day when musicians spent weeks working up a song to get it "just right". They didnt jump in the studio with a bunch of processed garbage and knock an album out in weeks time. I'm a semi-pro guitarist, play everything from metal to country, and i still respect the contributions of this band. Some folks need to grow up and recognize.
