He's playing a double time shuffle lick (or 32nd notes I suppose you could also say) over the regular meter the rest of the band is playing...it creates a pretty interesting effect.

I should also add that it's a double time version of swing/shuffle triplets (the 1st and 3rd beats in the triplet are played in it so he's not playing every single 32nd that could fit but rather the beginning and the end of them). I hope that helped you understand it.

Yea that was hot But I got one thing 2 say that I think that might help all or most drummers out. Drummers when you play songs that you really like or you get real crunk on try 2 have more control and not play so hard cause it will tired you out fast.
