He could probably do a killer fusion album like Guthrie, Greg Howe, or Tony MacAlpine. On the other hand, fusion isn't exactly a ticket to mainstream recognition. That's not the way to have the same level of name recognition as Slash...if Ritchie even cares about that.

Today's best guitarist/singer out there. No arguments! I saw him live in a small club and I can assure you he performs like God. Unreal. Unbelievable. Don't miss a gig if you got a chance, trust me. No matter if you're into rock or whatever style you prefer, you'll love him.
I once wrote this guy off long ago....not sure why...the Poison thing might have been responsible. BIG mistake, Kotzen is a force to be reckoned with in the guitar world. Great technique, wonderful voice, incredible phrasing and he just might be the most SOULFUL rock guitarist alive. I refrain from using words like 'best' and 'greatest'. I will leave those for others.
