Well, there is also Sabaton (if you mean a good metal band formed in 1999 or later).

In my opinion to many grammys go to the old bands although the records of Mastodon are much better.

in my opinion this is the best metal band since metallica and iron maiden. all the other new shit like trivium and bmfv is all about scream and technic. mastodon is the only "new" metal band that i can listen to. and i do everyday!;)
