@kenmabie Actually no. The demo files are human-readable (just obtuse), and we've had video creators who go through and hand-write video demo files FROM SCRATCH.

All you need to know are the proper resources to call and how to manipulate them. Tou can do things in demos that simply aren't possible in the game.

To make NPC do things they normally won't. Download a City of Heroes Launcher. Download any nessessary files you might need. Type "/demostart (filename)"; no quotations or parenthese to start the demo. /demostop to stop the demo. Open Notepad if you have Windows. File>Open>C:>Program Files>City of Heroes>Client Demos. On file types select all files. Click on (filename), the name of the demo you made, open, and edit. Be sure to experiment to see what does what.
