hi can any one help me my nb16 1gear 1 week old starts all good but leaks fual all over it self and also it drives of with out me doing anythink pls help me its my first nitro car

hi i recently got an nb16 but mine has the .06 engine on it.i have a problem with it,the engine starts first time perfectly but as soon as the glow plug heater is removed it stalls.the only problem i can think of that might cause this is that there is a screw missing that holds on the manifold.there is one in it but not the other.unburnt petrol does spray out of it because it is set really lean cause i am trying to break in the engine.if anyone can help with this i would be most grateful.thanks

@hezmeister turn the card clockwise 1 turn, get a new glow plug. and it should work

nah its ok i managed to sort it out,i had it running far too rich for it to run.works fine now,i just have a problem in finding the right failsafe for it.the las t one i got caused it to crash

the gear box can be adjusterd to change gear at lower or higher rmp.there is normaly an allen stud that you wind in or out to make it change gear.look for a small hole on the gear box caseing.

What gear does it happen in? Either way, you're high speed needle is too lean (screwed in), so richen the mixture (screw it out).

all fixed the hsn was too rich and so was the lsn so at full revs it flooded itself and my idle speed was too high but good look and i hope it goes well for ya!

my freind is selling one of these but it has a proplem it has only had 4 or so tanks of fuel through the engine and then it was left for about 1 mounth and my freind went to drive it the over day and t revs but wont drive i dont think the clucth has gone becase it has onl ever been drove slowly so do you think i should buy it? thanks danny

Iv got one and iv just put the 2 speed and tuned pipe on, im yet to test it properly. Do you find the exhaust leaks where the springs are?

Iv'e not had the exhaust leak at the springs but have at the manefold,the screws tend to losen off after a bit.just have to nip them up now and again. post a vid when you running. cheers.

the engine is standard but it has a 2 speed gear box and tuned exhaust,its all about lean ing the engine out for faster top end speed.this is done by adjusting the carb,if your new to nitro cars i would just leave them alone,otherwise you'll get all sorts of problems.you could take it to a shop to get it tunned up if you wanted more speed.hope this helps.

there is a slight change in engine note,you can adjust it to change at different rpm.there is a hole on the outer gear box where an allen key fits,you need to line it up with the grub screw on the inside of the gear box.a bit fiddly but it can be done.
