I kinda had a beef wit midway on how they drew Reptile over the years. He went from being a reptile ninja to a dinosaur lizard. I liked the way he was drawn up in MK4/MK Gold I think thats where they should have left him and just change his attire maybe even brought back his old MK1 MK2 attire and modified it.

Not a very convincing MK1 attempt, to say the least. No offense or anything, but the MK1 ninjas didn't have twin swords or added details to an otherwise simplistic costume. Yeah, the moves are there, but that's about it

after a double flawless, when you get on the bridge stage, you needed to do an uppercut when the witch were passing through the moon.

don't remember is fatalities were required, but still the most kick ass requirements for a boss fight.

Bridge level, with something funny in the sky in the background (like the witch you mentioned, but there were other things like a floating face), you have to get double flawless and do a fatality or the uppercut to impale the opponent,,,

@Toninho3rd u are correct about needing to see a shadow fly across the screen but you dont have to do an uppercut when you see it, just get a double flawless victory and perform a fatality, do not uppercut the opponent into the pit or you will not get to fight reptile. After you perform the fatality you will fight reptile at the bottom of the pit and he uses both scorpions and sub-zeros moves and he is like twice as fast, well at least on the arcade version he is faster.

@Rexd101 like the pre-order? yep. the original MK arcade machine did not have enough memory for all the characters, so to save space, they had Shang Tsung having, like 5 uniques frames and morphing into everyone else. and all the ninjas (Scorpion, Sub-zero and Reptile) technically shared the same sprite set, with only the colors being different (and Reptile was no more than a green ninja with the moveset of both Scorpion and Sub-zero). but the game had digitalized actors, so it was cool.

In my opinion, the designers completely ruined Reptile. Reptile was much cooler when he was in his ninja form rather than an actual reptile. My favorite look of his was the version in MK3 and Trilogy. Which is why I designed my Reptile in here looking exactly as he did in mk3 but with a green Cryo mask. I really hope that the designers will just change him back to the ninja, lizard form is lame. :)

@Nerevar1990 He's been a lizard since the second game, though. He's just been losing his human shape because he's going crazy. Fortunately, he seems to have hit rock bottom after deadly alliace and is becoming more humanlike again. With any luck he'll be back to his ninja look in a game or two.

@timemonkey  Yeah, something like if they are away from their own kind, or zaterrra for too long, they start to revert to their true form, but seeing as how khameleon and possibly chameleon are zaterran, mabye since he came in contact with them, judging by his mk 2011 costume, he's starting to return to normal

@blink182rockz88 Well, FULL lizard form is awesome, but that isn't whats been happening. Had they skipped the crap and just turned him into whatever full on lizard monster he actually is, that would be wicked (assuming that, in this hypothetical situation, normal reptile would still be playable).

The closest to that so far is in MKD where he has a lizard wearing a ninja suit, trying to be a ninja, which is ridiculous.

Plus, it would be just as cool to play as a completely skeletal Scorpion

They need to make up their minds and just choose a face for reptile to have. I would prefer his human form, only being able to see his face when he spits acid or performs a fatality. Part of what made Reptile an exciting character was the players reaction from getting glimpses of his face. Now that its out in the open all the time they kinda killed it. Not to mention they're portraying Reptile to be an ignorant swamp dwelling creature. They should have just kept him masked and mysterious.

I agree with you, they dropped the whole mysterious thing and made him a petty reptilian version of Baraka. Don't get me wrong, Reptiles my 2nd fav character and his story is probably the saddest out of all the MK characters but I do believe they wanted to create "Chameleon" in MK1 but couldn't. When they got to MK3, they had the chance to make the "real Reptile" and so they kept both. Btw Chameleon's my fav character.
