Cartoons, especially 90's style, would throw a "crowd" type voice in to use in situations like this. So, this technically not only doesn't have to be derpy's voice, it is actually better that it is not to keep some of the same style. But you said you like the official voice anyways so i guess nothing's hurtin'. :)
