@Blunic It's probably because this is from the very early 70's. Also, if you look at the stupid American's comments at the beginning of the movie, it's apparent that they are trying to sell Pasolini to American audiences. So they didn't mention that-back then it would've turned off American audiences.

Cetainly his movies had homesexual charters. Also bisexual, heterosexual, lesbian and celibate characters. He certainly did not limit what he portrayed on film to what he did himself.

Nor do most real artists.

why is it soo hard to find info on the influence and criticism of the sexual themes present in his work... i am trying to write a paper on his unique contribution to italian cinema, specifically concerning sexual themes

@Blunic its a 30 minute video what they 'letft out' i could just about squeeze into the grand canyon. surely you can go a half hour a day without needing sexuality to be discussed or acknowledged. nevermind that pasolini didnt mention it once himself in all the talking he did which was most of the film. etc

I think Pasolini was not publicly driven by his homosexuality. His work is beyond this kind of Identity Art or thought.

In a way he is like Oscar Wilde, his homosexuality was a private matter.

@kim1971 You must be joking?!?! Homosexuality was a very big issue for Pier Paolo and runs like a thread throughout his entire oeuvre. Don't want to sound nasty, but seriously you should go back and watch some of his films again.

i think they do not chose to letf out that,there'n no reason to talk about it.he wasn't homosexual a man sexuality is not just eteros o homos,who cares in people's sexual tastes.Probably it's been the only doc that did not mention it.
