@LzrdKng9000 they're over-the-ear stage monitors that Paul prefers. Also reduces stage noise; Paul is worried about hearing loss from long term exposure to loud amps on stage.
I have never listened to Paul Gilbert much, But from what I know he's a shredder, But to watch a shredder play Johnny Cash.. That's pretty awesome, He has my respect from now on.
At times I've praised paul gilbert and at others I've called him mind numbingly boring as far as his approach to writing songs goes, but I really do enjoy him for his sense versatility and his innate ability to pick up any kind of music with ease, and of course you can't forget his phenomenal abilities when it comes to guitar. If you excuse his lack of creativity image wise and song writing wise, and you praise him for his abilities alone, than he is an all around GREAT performer.
@CarbinBleuDia How can you say PG is boring and uncreative when it comes to writing songs? He does it with great ingenuity and pretty logically as well. He's unbelievably versatile, at first he wrote shred-metal tunes like Scarified and "Viking Kong" with Racer X, later some heart tocuhing songs like "To be with you" or "Wild world" with Mr Big and now he is outstandingly succesful solo instrumental writer. Prove you can do better before saying shit about people you can dream of coming close to.
@Halocon Probably a hot plate. It takes the signal from the head and suppresses it before it is sent to the cabinet. That way, your tubes can really work and sound good while you can keep a reasonable amount of db
yup i live in the los angelos county it was soo fun they didint show some stuff like his teeth solo ithink and got his autograph and some pick he gave me
Funny enough, I was fortunate to catch his pick at his gig in London last November. And I put it in a little frame :P It's all charred down one side from the shredding!
@tcherassi1 i'm really sorry but youtube only let me thumbs up your comment once. but please know that i was spamming that mofo hard. also, you posted that comment a year ago lol just noticed that
You mean there aren't any in England, the land of where many guitar legends such as Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, and the Beatles have come from?!?!?! That sucks dude; I am truly sorry...

He's one of the fastest shredding guitar players in the world, yet he also plays a Johnny Cash song with simple major chords. That's a true musician.
