These guys don't understand what the Tenori-On is. They gave it a weak review and compared it to an MPC product. That's like comparing a motorcyle and a forklift. Although it is made of plastic, the build quality is actually very good.

So in one camp you have the neigh sayers - 'It's too expensive!' or 'It's a stupid toy' they cry.

And in the other, we have those who see it as a fun way to compose music from within a limited set of parameters.

Essentially, some see it as restricted and others sense the freedom it can offer - from the overwhelming choice presented by a VST laden DAW.

I wouldn't sell my computer and outboard gear to buy a Tenori-on - but I would buy one to bust my way out of a rut.

they didn't even show half of what it can do. if youre a performer or musician, it actually would be a great thing to have. i have to admit, its not worth the 1200 but its still good. its probably worth about 500. its only that much now cause its 'revolutionary' and 'new'

apparently there was no thought that went into this review. tenori-on is a display music synth. the mode's they have are lots of fun too

if you are just making music, i'd prefer mpc's too.

These guys should hang themselves. Why the hell are you reviewing a music instrument when you have no knowledge what so ever about anything music related? And don't call me a fanboy, i've got a mpc500 and it's great value, but only if you prepare all your samples before flashing them over. The tenori-on is a musical instrument that is meant to be played, i mean the mpc hasn't even got pattern play! First mpc EVER to not have it.
