Haha it's funny and almost deja vu...Kelly has to choose b/w Brandon or Dylan, just like Dylan had to choose b/w Brenda or her...except this is a little more serious and dramatic...compared to back in high school.

I always wanted her to pick Dylan. He grew up a lot in season 5, but even though a lot of things changed for him, he always wanted Kelly back. Dylan asked Kelly to go on that trip because he couldn't stand living without her. Brandon only asked her to marry him because he didn't want her to leave. Yes, he loved her, but if Dylan hadn't given her those plane tickets, Brandon wouldn't have proposed.

@shananika nah, you got it wrong...brandon still kept the ring after Kelly said no. As he said, he had 4 years of ring payments lined up. That's a lot of money...and he still kept it despite Kelly's rejection. That's love. Also, afterward, Kelly wanted to still date Brandon but Brandon was just too heartbroken.

@ijustinexxx Brandon really loved Kelly, but his proposal was a direct result of Dylan asking Kelly to go on that trip with him. That's not to say that Brandon wouldn't have proposed a year later if Dylan had left them alone. Personally, I happen to prefer Dylan so, as a viewer, I wanted Kelly to pick Dylan. KD had a lot more passion. KB were cute in the beginning but then they just got boring.

@shananika Hi, I agree with you that Brandon DID propose just to counter Dylan's trip offer. But I just don't see why Dylan & Kelly would make anything good of a couple. They do have passion. But as many people said already "Take away the sex, and they have no relationship." All they have left is that "connection" thing that neither of them could figure out. Dylan was Kelly's escape from reality. The problem is that that's all he can do. Sooner or later, they'll be back in reality,

I hated that episode. took a while for kelly to get brandon back after that. I mean come on 1 guy wants to take you on vacation and the other guy wants to marry you. seems like an easy choice.

@jpriestleyfan I know!! I remember the first time that episode aired! I SOOO wanted her to pick Brandon. She and Dylan never really worked and I was pissed that she and Brandon didn't get married that time before he left the series...
