However it became so popular they left it for the summer. After that they took it down. Then (last year) the built another one in Shizuoka (another part of Tokyo I assume). @rayraygottago actually its only impossible when using the same materials as a human being.... bone and flesh are much weaker than the said materials used on mobile suits;. e-carbon/gundanium/gundarium/l­unar-titanium/"super hard steel alloy" are all fictional but are strong enough to support the human structure at the size of a mobile suit. Steel could actually support a mobile suit frame givin that weight distribution was done correctly and dense enough materials used for joints and "bones"

@xbikerguy A hell of a lot is stopping them, to be honest. Motors capable of moving limbs of that size don't come anywhere near small/fast/efficient enough to actually mount to the frame. Plus, even if you could get motors of that (incredible) power to weight ratio, they would run for a matter of seconds before over-heating or running out of fuel. So yeah, they can make a massive model of a Gundam, but we're a long way from making a Gundam.
