Here's what I notice on this song: there is lots of instrumental stuff, but it feels as though it's still a part of the main song instead of being a non-descript section of wanking. That's what the previous albums suffered from; Systematic Chaos occasionally, and BCSL in droves

@ddanjko They don't just try to compose as many songs as possible. In MY humble opinion, every song on this album is a complete masterpiece in its own right. Heart and soul are very subjective terms. You don't connect with this song, but that's just you, and you can't possibly speak for everybody. Personally, whenever I listen to this entire album, I hear the extreme passion they have for what they do, and their drive to keep getting better as a cohesive group of musicians.

This sounds just like their last several albums. Forgettable and repetitive verse/chorus combination, interspersed with flashy prog instrument masturbation to fill out the rest of the track.

There's no reason behind these songs, anymore. DT just pumps it out en masse, knowing their Guitar Hero audience will buy it, no matter what. Even modern day DT is better than the garbage their fans listen to, so it will sell regardless.

@Brewzkier I'm sorry you feel that way. I personally think it's the best album since Train of Thought. And I hate to break it to you, but even early DT had long extended instrumental/solo sections. Furthermore, this sounds more like classic DT than anything they've released in the last 10 years...
