... what a wonderful video.. but sad in a way that you see that how milwaukee was once long ago a freight shipping/manufacturing hub with river as a highway and the warehouses along the river that are now yuppie condos actually unloaded freight... what a difference 50 years makes :)

the lake express ferry goes from milwaukee to muskegon across lake michigan, this video is them taking the ferry to where they store it for the winter. beautiful veiw of the city in the first 30 seconds. great job.

The harbor looks like the harbor in Duisburg Germany. Because the industry has gone to asia the area changed. Today it was rebuild under the pogram called "Structural change". Is that a topic in the US. Here in Europe its very popular.

When is the smart rally? We'd love to have you on board. Car clubs and motorcycle groups are a lot of fun on the ship; the photos would be really great.

The whole trip takes about 45 minutes - a good portion of the run is easy - until we reach the railroad bridge, we're often delayed a bit as we wait for Amtrak to come through. And then from there on it it's slow going as the channel is very narrow - we take great care from around the Harley-Davidson museum on into the site of the winter berth.
