  • i have a question for anyone that knows, they sell the 007p forge dv on ebay and then they have the 007 dv that have no brand name much cheaper are they bad does anyone know i bout a b5 audi and what a little louder whoosh

  • If you have a 1.8t... or a 2.0t, you're better off leaving a diverter valve on it, blow off valve makes it sound more like a tuner, but it won't recycle any of the excess boost, instead it will just blow it out...

In short, if anything, it will do more bad then good.

  • Im have audi a6 1.8 t 134kw But i dont have this sound what i need to do is there any filter that is mounted on the turbo or pls Help me

  • hey i think i am going to get an intake for my TT, what is the cost pricewize

  • So what's better blow off valve or diverter valve?

  • Hey dont mean to sound dumb but what kind of short ram fits this car. Is it the universal short rams?

  • very nice !

  • I have a 2006 Audi TT 1.8 225 with the Forge 007 DV and a short ram intake. The DV is as loud as a jap car with a BOV.. For you guys who want noise there is no need for the splitter valve..this DV with green spring holds the boost great and your car will perform as it should

  • What model is the AEM short ram? Do you have a link where I could get it? I have the splitter and a K&N but I hate the K&N. Thought I would give this a chance.

  • sounds like my 1.8T with my 007

  • where did you purchase this valve at.. i found one for 70$ is that a good deall?..

  • sounds like venting out to the atmosphere

  • @Rswpotenza the intake is making it sound like that, along with help from the Forge Dv.

  • The intake seems to amplifly any sounds the DV makes, or at least for mine with a neuspeed

  • I have the splitter in mine and I advise you to try it in the full recirculation mode, it seemed to me at least that I got a lot of power back from that. Try it and let me know if you feel the same

  • I used to have similar set up, K&N filter but Forge splitter. I switched K&N back to stock because stock filter gives better acceleration with my setup.

And even though I have a splitter, I have the hole closed so it doesn't make any sound. I noticed better performance this way as well. End result is not much sound making car, but it surely is faster now.

  • any 1.8t owner should get a forge dv, helps so much with the lag.

  • Is this a open diverter valve? cuz i just installed a closed loop Forge 007 DV and it sounds nothing like this. I have a 2004 Jetta 1.8T

  • do you have an aftermarket intake pipe?

  • Yeah do you have an aftermarket intake? Also, I noticed the A4's with this same setup doesn't sound quite the same either. I don't know why, but the 1.8t in the TT's and GTI's are a little different. I think the 1.8t's in the TT's and GTI's have more PSI. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong?

  • @krnz3 no ur right and its because of the turbo's that come for them along with different ecu mapping Audi made it that way so their a bit more aggressive to give buyers a reason to buy them, but from my experience their harder to worker on compared to the longitudinal mounted a4 engine so i prefer a4's and passats with the 1.8

  • @krnz3 GTi has Ko3 turbo this has Ko4-23

  • Hey Bro I Have a 2005 Audi A4 1.8T and a 2001 Audi S4 2.7 bi-turbo i want that same DV u have for both of my rides if i wanted to install them would they fit??? thanx bro...!!!

  • yes, except for s4 you'll need 2 of them. if you're chipped you need yellow spring, or if you're factory go with a blue spring.

  • @djsonicc I heard that for the Forge 007P DV a green spring is better for chipped motors, ive got a 2004 1.8T thats pushin 233bhp now and was reccomended by the lads on the forum to go with green cos it holds boost better, might be worth lookin into, ive just ordered the same valve and am getting the green spring fitted.

  • whats the diffrence between a diverter valve and a blow off valve someone please respond thank you

  • Blow - Off Valve = blows air out to atmosphere

diverter valve = recirculates the air.

    google is your friend.

  • there are BOV's that recirculate air (i.e. greddy type-s)

  • is there a big difference in sound between stock and the forge dv without the short ram?

  • you can't hear it very well w/o the intake... It still sounds pretty much stock if you just have the Forge DV + stock airbox.

  • would a K&N help with the sound?

a K&N cold intake is the only one currently in my price range haha.

  • how much did it cost for it to be installed

  • Takes like 10 minutes to install by yourself.

  • which color spring did u put in ur DV?

  • I believe I had the green one in it. It was the spring recomended for stock PSI, and these stock turbo's run 11psi.

  • this tt chipped?

  • where did you purchased your short ram from? how much was it?

  • the cone it self was $50 at a local shop, and i just slapped on the intake....

  • What will it sound like w/ stock air box in a vw 1.8t? cuz i just ordered one =:P, cant wait for it to come!!!!!!!!

  • wont hear it, i rocked the forge 007, before i got an intake, you cant hear it that well... intake is deff recommended

  • this the same as the splitter valve?

  • No, this is just a Diverter Valve. I would recommend 100% recurc on these motors.

  • ahh i see! i got the splitter in my car with a CAI and it sounds very similar to this. you can check the vids on my page if you want.

  • I think twin piston dump valves work on the 225hp but not on the 180 for some reason

  • wait, its an audi tt, 1.8t?

  • Yes sir!

  • i like my apr r1!

  • junk

  • And what do you drive? Probably some peice of shit riced out VR6 with a stupid fast and the furious ebay body kit and altezza tails that give you like 50 hp right? Damn, im sure fucking jealous of your car man... STFU kthnx

  • j ai une gtturbo ki defose ton p tit taudi tronche a q

  • Oh yea, because I can fucking understand that you fuckign retard. Yeah go on and yap your fucking mouth.

  • et nike o mokkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • ur gay

  • ahhahaha ur funny

  • haha lmfao they speak this weird ass shit cuz we cant understand it hahah my s4 with straight ko4's 21 psi would roast their vr6 with a 500 dollor bod kit haha

  • ur gay

  • Bob kurt you're butt buddies with bouboutobolingo.... go make sex in his rice rocket.

  • i think u shud re read what i was puting down i sed that french person was gay

  • aaahhhhh ha ha ha ha it's a stinky french cunt

with talbolt licking his mums armpits

  • this guy is gay not u

  • oh my b.!! :D

  • What color spring are you using on your DV??? I'm using a green one on a virtually stock Saab 9-5 LPT, but am considering a yellow one.

  • im using the stock one that it came with. So i think its green?

  • Yes, it's green. Why don't you try switching to yellow to see if you can feel/hear the difference in performance? I was told that the yellow spring will give off a (slightly) different note.

  • I thought green springs were 7-11 psi and yellow was like 12-14? I could be wrong. I might have to try switching springs sometime.

  • god i miss that sound... i had the anodized red one on my saab... im trying my toyota for another saab so i can get that sound back... i miss it that bad

  • sounds really great! ive heard nothing but good things about the 007's.

  • thank you! Yeah the 007 are awesome. I love em.

  • Yep.

This is why XtremeJoe said his DV sounds different. If he's running the stock airbox he won't get the same sound. The cold air intake really make a diiference in the sound. There are a ton of off brand DVs but I am not sure if they will perform.

I spoke to a guy who purchased one and he said that he did not notice a difference with the new DV. Others have said the same even after installing the Forge DVs.

  • I think extremejoe has an intake. Look at his videos.

But yeah, I havn't noticed any gains, but sure does sound nice.

  • nope not really cuz when i bought my car, it came with that DV... i just know its the forge007.. sorry

  • Do you have a cold air intake system?

Your DV will sound completely different if you are running the stock airbox. The stock airbox is big, bulky and heavy. It is made for a quiet ride not performance. I noticed a huge difference in sound and performance after I replaced it with the cold air intake system.

The sound you're hearing above is more and less the results of the after market air intake system coupled with the DV.

  • I'm running a short ram intake.

You can narley hear the turbo spool or the DV with a stock airbox. hence it's so restricted.

  • wow... our DV's sound COMPLETELY different

  • yup. It's weird. It's based on the same engine too.

Do you know the model number of your dv?

  • @krnz3 forge 007p

  • sounds incredibly sexy! recirculating?? is there a way to adjust the forge to blow off a greater %? ive heard you can adjust the ratios, sorry if this sounds dumb ive always been around N/A cars :(

  • Thank you!

I don't think you can adjust the amount of air blowing out. But the diverter valve comes with springs depending on how much psi you're running.

  • you are talking about a forge splitR valve, the one that is part recirc and part atmos. this 007p is different.

  • Regardless, the SplitR valve doesn't allow you to adjust the sound, or amount of air blowing out. It allows you to adjust the DV's tension, depending on how much boost you're running.

  • Isn't that a blow off valve, not a dv?

  • nope that's a DV. ^^

  • Very Cool

I have a 2000 Audi TT Quattro 180T with some slight mods under the hood (Neuspeed air flow intake system and ECS Ultimate timing belt kit with the light weight pulleys). I am contemplating the Forge DV as a replacement for my stock DV.

Did you notice a difference after installing the Forge DV? What color spring did you opt for (Red, Blue, Yellow and Green....Red is the stiffest and green least stiff?

  • I would say, deffintly get the DV, sounds great. I didn't notice any gains, but then my car isn't chipped.

I used the Green spring i believe. and I think you are right the red is the stiffest, holds out like 35 psi or something.

  • Thanks you!

  • how does the apr valve sound

  • i just bought a Carbonio intake for my a4 and a APR R1 Diverter Valve

  • bboyhelix: the DV cost around 130 bucks, and i live in washington.

    FunPhax: Thanks

    McL3vin: It's an AEM filter.

krizzleeeqwe: Yup, I love the forge 007 DV, I'm not getting any surge at all. :)

    thanks for the comments guys

  • i have a 20th anv. I have a hks blow off valve butt i re ally want to have a DV once again. Is the forge really good, do you have compressor surge??

  • what brand of air intake do you have on this car?

  • Sweet turbo dude!

  • cool, very nice !

how much did the DV cost you ?? (and where do u live):P
