he didnt say the part when the foot meets the ball though thats the tricky part what i do is make it completely straight like as if im going for a toe kick then i twist it with the inside part like next to the big toe area is that good ?

well, i try to explain this...

now..you have to get power on your foot before you kick it...and never try to shot a ball with the forward section of your foot. This is not a good way to shot..

but you can't learn kicking a ball by reading it...

you have to know it...or you have to try it...

maybe you are just not in the correct postion with either your body , or your foot. i think its easier to kick the ball high and far with the laces just a little turned inwards. so when your right footed, you run a little from the left and the you smack it with the right inwarded foot. lean backwards and try several positions of your upper body. remember too: the speed is not coming that much from the upper leg! bend your lower leg until it touches your butt, and then just swing it through. GL!

heres another tip, u want to do what he says but also kick it with ur laces, but u have to hit it right in the center, then u should be in the air and land on your kicking foot, it feels weird at first, but it does help, keeps the ball low and gets more power into it
