@WhyteLis21. There's heaps of other stuff by Tolkien, especially The Silmarillion, which explains all that. Be warned it's a bit of a heavy read. Maybe you could find a synopsis or something on the net if you're curious about Sauron's beginnings but don't wanna read the whole book.

In the up coming Hobbits, they plan to release it in two parts and will include some background history on Sauron I think. But the thing is that Sauron was evil immediately entering the Middle Earth during the first age because he was corrupted by Melkor right away. Gandalf in theory should be just as powerful as Sauron because they are ranked the same as Maiar both are lesser Ainur. I hope they explain this in the film too.

Sauron was/is a mian spirit (spelling) and Gandalf is an itsari spirit, very similar yes. But Sauron was good and was corrupted by MORGOTH in the first age. The first age ended with the defeat of Morgoth and after being captured by the numonorian (spelling) men (Who brought about the wrath of the VALAR when they tried to claim immortality - When Sauron corrupted the king) Sauron fled to Middle Earth... I've read the books enough times to know.

what technology are you using to edit this trailer? i've been trying and failing to make these trailers, is it in any way possible for you to tell me how you do it?

btw, there are some parts in this vid where i expected the voice to continue or where the audio stopped suddenly, but i've been editing and i know how tedious that process is. So, anyways, this deserves 5 stars + awesome editing. It was really powerful.

regarding the chronological I didn't want to make it like that.. there's an official super trailer and I didn't want mine to look like that. Personally I think this trailer is WAY better than my Troy trailer, but it's a question about taste and trust me when I say... it is way better edited than my troy trailer ;)

That was pretty good. My only negative comment is that with your longer trailers the pacing seems to suffer -- you are excellent with your tv clips where you are forced to capture the essence of the movie in 30 seconds, but with this one it actually becomes too lengthy and slow in places. It seems like you were trying to include every plot line, and that just can't be done in a trailer. Actually, the one segment from 4:00 to 4:34 is almost good enough to be a trailer on its own.
