@ImmTheeBestt Spring Break? I never thought of that? Who thinks of going on a cruise then? Hmmm...? I think that will be an idea I'll seriously think about for the future--thanks!
@Uprising3k Hmm...I rarely go to casinos, seeing as I'm not good at gambling. I lose my head and start betting all my money when I think I'm winning, which eventually leaves me with two to three hours of doing nothing but having watch my friends and other people (who have most of their money) gamble. But, this time I think I'll try to go slow and get a friend to keep an eye on me. Thanks! >:o)
im really hesitant on going on carnival inspiration, because of this stop at grand cayman..i had the worse experience on a tender in belize....that looked scary...
@proctophobiaguy no the crew are not wearing the life jackets because of the waves . Its because if a crew member falls into the water and drowns. The cruise line can be sued. So what cruise lines do is make any crew working near the water line wear a life jacket. It is not hazards for the passengers.
By the way this is not that bad. If it was in any way a danger they would not run the passengers out.
I remember going to the Bahamas on the big ship I worked on. The tender had pulled up along side the water tight door. The waters were heavy. The door was opened and the gangway extended out to meet the tender. Just as the crew were about to walk the gang, a huge swell came across wrenching the tender up and away from the ship, the gangway was ripped off and it fell to the depths. We had to cancel that port of call and pretend that it takes 1 day to get to Miami.
nothin can be done when the seas are like that in the caymans which they normally are.....just wait and jump.heheheheh..i was on the carnival triumph and it was always like this when we called in georgetown.....
The lines look a bit slack securing the tender to the ship. Tighter would not have stopped it riding up and down but would have pinned it to the platform.
Wait... I am I the only one that notices the cruise ship is moving up and down and bouncing everywhere?! I hate tendering from ships....

it must be awful having to endure such hardship; I bet some bastard forces them to eat all that food and drink all that champagne!

Easier to get a pass card, drive through the border and use the nearest airport to fly down.

Tightening the lines would have killed everyone. If they're too tight the tender rides up with the ship and it can flip on its side.
