You've been having disconnection issues too? How did you fix them, if you don't mind me asking? :/ I've been trying to get online to play all weekend, and I've never even made it past the "your opponents have been chosen!" screen.

Great races! I envy your skill on Rainbow Road...I can't even do that course normally, let alone on Mirror Mode! Sucks about your disconnect, though...you were doing really well.

@AriEmeraldstar I moved the Wii closer to the router. That's basically it. Something was getting in the way of the signal.

It's the Wii Update that's responsible. I'm still looking into why my Wii was affected by this and many other people's, but not everyone's.

I have a theory on that. It may be because some of the Wiis are newer, while yours is older, or vice versa. I haven't had any problems that bad on MKW, but i've only managed to have about 6 matches for SSBB Wi-Fi. Also can you help me with that? I'm using a Wi-Fi USB device, does that make a difference?

...My wii is older and my friend's that lives 35 sec. away is new....we dont have trouble at all!....maby u just need new connections...thats what happened to my DS but I checked the connecions and there was a new one so I used it...or just get more of the same connection that way its triple charged!

The Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector isn't as reliable as a genuine router, based on what I hear about it. I had suspected age too, but it seems TOEPIKAR's accounts make it unlikely.

The wii system updade hasnt affected my MKWii WiFi but when i go for an SSBB WiFi match it NEVER finds opponents. Altough i keep on getting that 90100 error code and it says: 'Disconnected from network during data transmission.' I really dont have a clue what that is.

It's a good thing Mike didn't know the POW Block trick! Nice race at Koopa Cape. I've also found myself stuck in that same spot.

It looks like everyone but Sam was a Wii Wheel user on Rainbow Road. Too cool! Also, DADDY seemed to be a formidable rival for you seeing as he also has a 2-star rank.

Shy Guy Beach works against drivers using Automatic too. Since you can't jump over those little patches of water, they slow you down a bit. It sucks you disconnected again.

Yeah, DADDY was a pretty tough racer, though it kind of threw me off on how he would select only easy courses from the Retro Cups. Peach Beach was the only course where he placed ahead of me though, so I guess he plays Mario GP a lot more than he plays online.

You're right; upon watching the video again, I saw I was significantly slowed down in the water and had to reaccelerate. Shy Guy Beach was specialized for MKSC's mini-turbo system. Cheep Cheep Beach would've been much better.

Dry Bones sounded way cooler in Mario Kart DS, even in galaxy (despite the creepy laugh). And nah, they should have had... Waluigi Pinball or some good stage; Tick Tock Clock would have been awesome!

Those are Mario Kart DS stages though. I know the designers wanted at least two courses from each previous Mario Kart game, but Shy Guy Beach is a very strange choice.

Cheep Cheep Beach would have been great, as it's visually distinct from Peach Beach and is the only late-game beach course in a Mario Kart game (aside from SMK's Koopa Beach 2). It's also the longest one.

Nah, I really don't mind anymore. I get disconnected or find runs of bad luck so often here that I just live with it now. Kind of like how Charlie Brown just sucks it up and moves on with the next thing in his life.

Why not? Peanuts is immensely popular, and Charlie Brown is immediately recognizable to anyone. I've always found Charlie Brown to be an unlikely role model for people dealing with difficult times of their lives, as he's optimistic, carries lots of perseverence, and doesn't let setbacks bring him down. That, I think, is how people should behave in the face of loss. He's the polar opposite of a sore loser.

Charlie Brown gets depressed, but he has the common sense to not let it consume him in the long term and gets back up on his feet. I wish more people would learn to do that; it's the source of a lot of evil in this world.

The frequent disconnections started when people updated their Wiis. I didn't bother to download it for some time after it was released, and I too never got the disconnections until I decided to upgrade it a couple of weeks ago.

Because the disconnection problems began when people started updating their Wiis. I didn't bother to update mine until later, and it seems my disconnection problems also coincide with the update.

This glitch doesn't affect everyone though, and I'm still not too sure why some people get disconnected and some don't.

By the way, I looked into this on the Nintendo Tech Support forums, where it IS fairly widespread. I saw people disconnecting in nearly every race too.

I don't know for sure, but it's about 7-8 seconds long. Also if you leave it in the inventory without using it at all it will stay there.

So that would be a design flaw in Koopa Cape? It's pretty rare to find a place in a Mario Kart course where you can get stuck without quickly recovering. I certainly never knew abut this until now.

I just had the misfortune to participate in a match where a Starman lasted four-and-a-half minutes because of lag, in which I couldn't move as it was so bad.

What it did was tweak some characters and made finding people easier, such as Snake's up smash being less powerful. I don't think they'll ever make the game less laggier. I don't think it can be done.
