I don't think that Sig misses! I'm looking to getting ANY of these pistols... I like the price and the feel of the Baretta, but, don't like the trigger pull. I've never shot a Sig, but read about it being the pistol of the SEALs. It's also twice the price of a Baretta. A buddy of mine has an XD in .45, which is FUN to shoot. I don't have much $, but I like to shoot. Any recommendations? I'm also a southpaw
@spookypunky I'd visit a gun store or, ideally a range that has guns to try out, and see which fits your hand the best. Beretta, SIG, Springfield, Glock, FN, H&K, Colt, S&W, etc. all make excellent pistols. Fit is pretty much the end-all, be-all IMO. IIRC FN, S&W, and a few others offer fully ambidextrous controls, and some others are fully ambi with the exception of the slide release. Plus nearly all pistols can be run well and quickly by lefties with a bit of adaptation/practice. Good luck
@spookypunky - I have the 92FS and the P226 9mm. I compete IPSC with the Sig only because it fits my hand better. They were both same price. The Beretta is awesome too ... but not as comfortable in my hand. I may trade it in for a .308 this fall.
@willwood487 I do okay sometimes when I'm just having fun... when it counts/during matches I'm usually waaaay slow, or I forget something/mess up during the stage. LOL
