Adopting is FREE. I have adopted one Native American/Hispanic son, 2 African American sons, and 1 African American daughter. I chose to give the children homes that are in the CPS system, whose families and extended families have been unable or unwilling to care for. We're one big happy family now, and the Childrens' Services departments assist you with foster-to-adopt, medical and dental insurance, and pay all your legal fees. You do not have to be rich, nor go out of our country to adopt.

I think in part you're right but sadly, reality is that European-Whites have the money to be able to adopt. Now as I being Mexican/American am thinking of adopting an African baby and Mexican baby, there is a black history in Mexico and from what my family looks like, I wouldn't be surprised If I had black blood in me.

My best friend is a Black and Brazilian mix, or mulatto, and was adopted by Polish parents, but she has a keen sense of who she is and where she comes from.
I wrote a paper about transracial adoption 2 years ago in English and my strongest point was that the children in this predicament often don't have knowledge of self. Many adoption agencies because these children think they're white have put up laws in place of this, like one parent MUST be of the same race or descent as the child they're adopting. The only I bias I have towards that is race and culture aren't synonymous.
I could adopt a Haitian or Ethiopian child, and while they may have a "black conscious," what about the culture they were taken from? Their culture would be DILUTED because mine ( Louisiana Creole) would be taught in place of theirs. The only thing that gives me an advantage over a white couple is my color.
But on another note, I've ran into my fair share of black people who know nothing about who they are or their history here in America, but want to call themselves that.

I chose to give the children homes that are in the CPS system, whose families and extended families have been unable or unwilling to care for. There is some biased habits among Blacks when they adopt which just sucks so if a kid could get love, no matter what skin color.. I am all for it!

I think in part you're right but sadly, reality is that European-Whites have the money to be able to adopt. Now as I being Mexican/American am thinking of adopting an African baby and Mexican baby, there is a black history in Mexico and from what my family looks like, I wouldn't be surprised If I had black blood in me.

Clearly what I'm saying is that this issue can go both ways. Just because one grows up in a black or African culture doesn't mean they can't be ignorant about their own origins. Knowledge of self needs to be taught PERIOD.
My best friend is a Black and Brazilian mix, or mulatto, and was adopted by Polish parents, but she has a keen sense of who she is and where she comes from.

I wrote a paper about transracial adoption 2 years ago in English and my strongest point was that the children in this predicament often don't have knowledge of self. Many adoption agencies because these children think they're white have put up laws in place of this, like one parent MUST be of the same race or descent as the child they're adopting. The only I bias I have towards that is race and culture aren't synonymous.

I could adopt a Haitian or Ethiopian child, and while they may have a "black conscious," what about the culture they were taken from? Their culture would be DILUTED because mine ( Louisiana Creole) would be taught in place of theirs. The only thing that gives me an advantage over a white couple is my color.
But on another note, I've ran into my fair share of black people who know nothing about who they are or their history here in America, but want to call themselves that.

There are many things wrong with it. But I'[ll just list one. The fact that due to white colonialism, and the European/arab slave trade is the reason Africa is in the state that it is in . Its because of white people that Haiti was, and is in the state that it is in ( Go research the history ), etc etc. So those children more and likely would not be starving or parent less if not for the actions of Europeans or Asiatics.
So there are MANY problems with this.

2nd, Adoption is expensive, and white control that.

However the only way this relationship could work...white parents adopting black children...the parents need to raise that child with the child's culture in mind. PERIOD. Absolutely agree with vid...being an adoptee myself and having first hand experience...ADOPTING BLACK BABIES DOES NOT HELP THE CHILD! PERIOD. I grew up[ not knowing my history...I always felt different EVEN WHEN I TRIED TO FIT INTO "THEIR MOLD." I grew up in a white neighborhood and got made fun of and picked on a lot. My "white parents" eventually became scared of me when I got older and swayed toward my natural side which is Hebrew Yisraelite...The media did not help either...
