  • THis is known as a fairground orgna.

  • I think this is "Black and White Rag" by George Botsford, although the arranger seems to have done all kinds of weird things to it to make it fit the scale!

  • @KawhackitaRag WHY is the organ in the other room than the carousel?

  • @anglerfly

It is not in another room. It is simply on the outside of the carousel, rather than the inside.

  • @KawhackitaRag

I suspect that when it was converted they may have cheated a bit, as there are several rolls which sound like they were "mashed" into the scale. They may have had the pipes, but perhaps not in the same ranks as it was designed for. Too often the melody ends up spread over two or even three divisions for this to be coincidence. Either that or it's just really weird arranging.

  • @Karlfalcon what do you mean? and whats a band organ scale?

  • @anglerfly

Band organs do not have chromatic scales, like a piano. They skip some notes to save money on pipes and size.

  • The organ is frati.

  • Nice audio !!
