They had good chemistry. But I think that Janet, Chrissy, Cindy, and Terry we're all a little bit in love with Jack. They were often jealous when he focused his attentions on other girls, and I remember that Janet had arguments with both Chrissy and Cindy that were caused by their attraction for Jack. Besides the gay thing, they had a no dating rule because one of the girls will undoubtedly have gotten hurt if he had chosen the other.

Jack is a definite gift as a down to earth, gifted actor/comedian. Both the ladies and Jack's performances were priceless. I didn't preference brunette vs. blondes. All the ladies were beautiful. Jack's character in the show was highly entertaining. He was a good man
The oddest thing happened to me in early 2001. I was working at HSN in St Pete, FL as an operator at the time. Suzanne Somers was selling her jewelry on the show, and I took my lunch in the HSN cafeteria. It was about 4pm so there was hardly anyone in there. Well lo and behold who do I see? It was Joyce DeWitt with a few friends sitting down for lunch. So basically Crissy and Janet were at HSN! I told my friend "if Jack walks in then I'll know this is a dream." But it didn't happen.

I LOVE Jack and Janet! they are the best tv DUO EVER! THey have great scenes together...my brother, sister, and I have seen every episode at LEAST 20 times EACH or more..We own every episode on BETA, VHS, and DVD!
That last episode always makes me cry when I see it. I remember wishing that Janet and Jack would get married. But that would have changed the whole premise of the show, so for the memory of Three's Company, I guess it's best that they didn't.
Feel's good to know we aren't alone feeling these feelings. When Ritter died I realised myself I had been going through life always trying to reproduce their kind of warm and loving friendship that they portrayed. Thanks again !

I just watched the last episode on TV Land last night. It was pretty sad. Jack got married, Janet got married and Terri left. It sucked to see them all go their seperate ways.
Yeah, its like when Meathead and Archie Bunker said goodbye to eachother and you had that long silent pause at the end where Archie sat in the chair crying. That was touching. They did that stupid Three's A Crowd spinoff but Janet and Jack should have gotten married but instead she married that tool from Supermarket Sweep.
No bullshit. It was on TV land last night. It's what inspired me to look up 'janet wood'. I think she was the most attractive of all the girls ever on the show. They just didn't dress her up like it. One of the biggest mistakes from the creators of this show was not having Jack and Janet fall in love and get married, it would have been a great way to end the show.
I always wished for that, too. Maybe they started the show with some kind of rules for the writers that they could not have the roommates get romantically involved due to potential controversy. At the time, the idea of intergender non-sexual cohabitation was very new and suspect.
God, that would have been a GREAT special - can you imagine if Jack and Janet realized years later that they really were made for each other? I would have loved that.
Wow-if they had that special, my parents and I would definitely be tuned! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought they would have made a great couple. The final episodes always seemed too rushed for me and the lady that Jack ended up just didn't have that chemistry that Janet and Jack had during the many years they spent together. I miss John Ritter-such a talented actor.
Well, if they would have ended the show with Jack and Janet getting married, then that would really be it. Since they each found someone, we don't know how well it will work out. It seems like the writers left a lot to the audience's imagination like what if Jack relationship with Vicki doesn't work out and what if Janet's marriage doesn't work out? Do they move back in with each other and look for a third roommate again. A lot of room was left to keep extending the show

A romantic relation between the two of them would have caused the show to be moved by the censors to a later spot in the schedule and probably would have lost most of its teenage audience. Having a character that just pretented to be gay before 9:00pm on tuesday nights was enough problem.

John Ritter somehow made folks lives seem a little less stressful in the primetime hours of abc during the late 70's early 80's. The only bad thing was...it was only 30 minutes short. John was a great guy, and a favorite actor. I purchased every magazine I found with him on it and framed it once he died. People like John just seemed to make the world a little bit easier to deal with and live in. I'm glad he was captured on film, so others can enjoy him as I have. God Bless ya John & Thankyou :)
Three's Company was the funniest show still today you watch the reruns and the show is as great today as when it first came on. He was extremely funny and great at physical comedy and it made me wish I was his roommate.

I watched "Three´s Company" when I was little in the 80s. Now I tend to have crushes on women who look like Janet. I haven´t made the connection until I saw this video.
There is one episode where they did go out on a date together. There are other episodes where they went out together just as friends. They were never a couple during the whole series. They were just friends during the whole series.

jack is my fav character..i cried when the actor died. he died on the set of 8 simple rules so whenever is see that episode where they kill him off the show i actually cry a little :( he's sooo cute on threes company

I just watched the last episode on TV Land last night. It was pretty sad. Jack got married, Janet got married and Terri left. It sucked to see them all go their seperate ways.

Yeah, its like when Meathead and Archie Bunker said goodbye to eachother and you had that long silent pause at the end where Archie sat in the chair crying. That was touching. They did that stupid Three's A Crowd spinoff but Janet and Jack should have gotten married but instead she married that tool from Supermarket Sweep.

No bullshit. It was on TV land last night. It's what inspired me to look up 'janet wood'. I think she was the most attractive of all the girls ever on the show. They just didn't dress her up like it. I'm watching the first episodes right now where chrissy's mom is staying in jack's room. and janet is wearing the long jersey w/ her straight hair. chow!

One of the biggest mistakes from the creators of this show was not having Jack and Janet fall in love and get married, it would have been a great way to end the show.

I always wished for that, too. Maybe they started the show with some kind of rules for the writers that they could not have the roommates get romantically involved due to potential controversy. At the time, the idea of intergender non-sexual cohabitation was very new and suspect.

Wow-if they had that special, my parents and I would definitely be tuned! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought they would have made a great couple. The final episodes always seemed too rushed for me and the lady that Jack ended up just didn't have that chemistry that Janet and Jack had during the many years they spent together. I miss John Ritter-such a talented actor.

Well, if they would have ended the show with Jack and Janet getting married, then that would really be it. Since they each found someone, we don't know how well it will work out. It seems like the writers left a lot to the audience's imagination like what if Jack relationship with Vicki doesn't work out and what if Janet's marriage doesn't work out? Do they move back in with each other and look for a third roommate again. A lot of room was left to keep extending the show

A romantic relation between the two of them would have caused the show to be moved by the censors to a later spot in the schedule and probably would have lost most of its teenage audience. Having a character that just pretented to be gay before 9:00pm on tuesday nights was enough problem.

I agree. actualy I think the writers were thinking that, I heard that on E True hollywood story, but they thought it would have been a bad idea, so they ended it with Janet/Philip and Jack/Vicky instead. I know bummer

I always have this thought that somewhere in jack and janet's minds... they were meant for each other. when the look at each other there was that connection not only infront of the camera but also in their true mental telepathy.
I believe that janet wouldn't deny the fact that she loves jack in real life. same goes for jack.

John Ritter somehow made folks lives seem a little less stressful in the primetime hours of abc during the late 70's early 80's. The only bad thing was...it was only 30 minutes short. John was a great guy, and a favorite actor. I purchased every magazine I found with him on it and framed it once he died. People like John just seemed to make the world a little bit easier to deal with and live in. I'm glad he was captured on film, so others can enjoy him as I have. God Bless ya John & Thankyou :)

Three's Company was the funniest show still today you watch the reruns and the show is as great today as when it first came on. He was extremely funny and great at physical comedy and it made me wish I was his roommate.

I'm afraid you won't be able to meet him but in his films and tv shows. Don't you know he passed away on September 11, 2003? He was an incredible actor and I loved Jack in this comedy, the best ever, in my opinion. Thanks, John for your contribution.

There is one episode where they did go out on a date together. There are other episodes where they went out together just as friends. They were never a couple during the whole series. They were just friends during the whole series.
