Not that the quality is that bad, but you may want to look into a dvd recorder if you are going to be making a lot of these.

Record your playing to a disc (preferably RW) then take what you want from the disc with your computer...

It can be a little complicated at first...

Yes. That is a way to put it. I should note that if you do a Console > Recorder > TV setup there will be a bit of lag. To fix this you would use a splitter.
