Good effort and idea on the typical debris shelter but without the insulation and rain protection of a thick layer of leaves over the boughs you aren't going to get much protection. Also you should add a thick insulating layer of leaves in the floor of the shelter or a fire bed. Good start though.
hey great shelter but its needs more leaves on the outside to keep the heat in and some on the floor as you lose a lot more body heat if you are not insulated from the cold floor
there are plenty of leaves u could put on it.

nice shelter, if you had more time it would be great. with the leaves on the outside it would be both wind and water proof and hold the heat in wll

If i was in the woods I wood lay some thin tarp over the top to keep out rain. just put it in your pack, maybe on one side.
