  • how would the "star eater" attack its pray from miles away?? you lost me on that one? cool and interesting video tho.

  • To answer your question Grimy:

Star eater attacks prey from a long distance by attracting them to it using a bioluminescent lure located under its jaw. In an environment as harsh as the polar sea, creature perceptions of potential prey are amazing, including sight, smell, vibrations and who knows what else.

Possibly the choice of words in the narration was awkward, considering it lures prey.

  • 1:42 can eat???

  • lol @ the sea pig kool vid

  • Great video - most of the creatures below 1000 feet are not discovered. The moon is better discovered as the deepsea. Just a handful of deepsea submarines are able to go down to 8000 feet or deeper and such trips to the deep are expensive.

  • Amazing video.

  • We need to go and search the ocean first instead of spending billions of dollars spent on space missions.

  • this is soooooooooo kool

  • hm...it can be possible that if u go deeper in the ocean u will find more animals that r more dangerous like a sea cucumber but the size of a car

  • naah... hope it is, really do, and its not impossible, but it is unlikely. Life needs the sun, and i am afraid the energy of the sun doesent go that far down... so big animals would really have problems finding food.. But, after all, what do we know...

  • you are wrong there is sulphur bassed food chains in deep ocean trenches and in deep caves there is also such.

  • VERY WELL EXPLAINED!

  • WOOO NEW ZEALAND!
