Iwas blessed enough to have seen Elvis on March 9 of this famous 74 tour. It was absolutely amazing ! Elvis never looked or sounded better. He was in an incredibly good mood . I remember at the end of the concert he put his arm around Charlie Hodge as they walked of the stage together, he turned to us and had the biggest smile on his face and waved. Ill never as long as I live ever forget that moment. Those of us who got to see the King in action really really are blessed,
@deannamarie29 You may be interested to know the Richmond show is going to be released in two-track stereo form very shortly under the title 48 Hours To Memphis. LONG LIVE THE KING!!!!!!
@tenniscollector right the collector label Follow That Dream (FTD) will release it in september. It is said that it came from a newly discovered, unmarked tape which later appeared to be a copy of the 16-track recording machine. Will see....
@marcudobenny2 Bad News according to the latest update on the For Elvis CD Collectors website the soon to be released 48 Hours To Memphis will be in Mono. However the mix on this YT upload sounds great - it is mono with a touch of reverb. Does anyone know if this Is this from the Luxor release from 1997 ?
@marcudobenny2 I was at the March 8 concert in N.C . What a show !! That entire March of 74 tour has been said to have been one of the best, if not the best tour he ever did ! I have to agree. He was in the best mood I had ever seen him in throughout the entire concert, and as long as I live I will never forget at the end as he was walking off the stage, he had his arm around Charlie Hodge, turned to us and had the biggest smile on his face I had ever seen ! What a performer !!
ELVIS, then and NOW, the COOLEST guy that ever lived.

Love it! My cousin was there that night and was in the front row where she got one of his scarves that night.
I would love to be able to get a copy of that picture at the 48 second mark...that is the scarf she got!
