  • I'm from the UK but yeh...It sounds better in their language :) (Still an Amazing Song though) Well done B&H x

  • Brilliant song...thanks for that!

  • love love

  • I love this song :)

  • This is one of my favourite songs in the world, but it is 10 times better done in the original language! Singing it in english takes away from its beauty- I wish more countries would sing in their native language in eurovision (and I'm British!)

  • This video is proof of how much irreparable mental damage the war has done to the Bosnian people...

  • Kakvo sranje -LOL!

  • Couldn't they translate the part at 0:01 too?

  • This is the best thing to ocme out of eurovision :)

    There so preciouss :D

  • Majmune glupi,ne znas svoj jezik a kamoli engleski!!!Bolje ti je zacepi tu svoju glupu, zaostalu gubicu i nemoj nas sramotiti!!!

  • I do prefer the original but its nice to have heard this so I know what it means :-p

  • its good but the original (have no idea what language its in-sorry!) is way better. the lyrics fit in with the song better in terms of the amount of sylables.

You can see him singing the english. They wrote the song they are allowed to change it otherwise it wont go with the music!

  • This is my favourite song .. in originlal ofcouse... but this one is very gooooooood tooooo !!!

  • He's good singer...for real.

  • Even the badly english version is much better then the winner. I love this song, laka is real great. I try to buy laka in germany but thats a problem, no shop got laka :S

Laka I love your style go further with that and make your stuff buyable in germany. ;) Vote ***** ;)

  • it's better on bosnian

  • it's translated pretty badly...in bosnian it sounds very cool but in english it sounds nothing special...perhaps if he put on a heavy british accent if could fly...

  • YEAH! ROCK!

  • valja vise na bosanskom! =)

  • I think too their own language is so much better :)

    I love it <3

  • it's a great song, but i agree that the version in their own language is better, but it is really good to know the messsage behind! so my propose is to have the official video and in the comment box; the text in bosnien (dunno how to write but i hope everybody understands) and benaeth the translation in english!!!

is their soms pcfreak who can do this? please

please please (it may be good to learn a bit bosnien)

    love! Caitlin

  • @caitsan

    true! (i'm bosnian!)

  • guys .. listen.. this song is not a translation of the original... it still lovely though:P

  • lol i laughed we i heard it on the euro vision song contest but now i actually no wat he says its a really kewl song i can see y they got some points lol =P

  • it's actually cuet awesome lyruics :)

  • If his primary language was english, it would probably sound better, since I cant understand half the words due to accent and/or mispronunciation

  • He`s sooo cute! The song is so romantic! :P

  • GOOOD

  • just no

  • it sounds wayy better in Bosnian, in englsh its not as good :D

  • je zlatane

    it's fuken weird :P

    and yet i love it

    bosnia all the way bruz

  • ye goo bosnia

  • wtf sounds weird in english

  • laka je sampion 9.j..o sve

  • can the girl speak english?

  • no mr it isn´t a joke ! this is real music ! this man couldn´t speak any words as child ! so be quiet and leave us alone ! he is the number one !

  • Really he couldn't speak any words as a child? Why? What happened? I really like his music. I think it's brilliant

  • is this song a joke?

  • eeh.. no ?

  • i lowe this lowe musik lowe!

  • @evanssm1

don't come down from CARDAK*/and do not ask me where was i/why my eyes are filled with tears/and why did i cry

i stood by the grave/and i called my dead mother/i was bringing her a present from my heart/but i could not give it to her

do not rattle with your clogs/while you are coming down from CARDAK*/every time,my dear, i think my old mother is coming

CARDAK-no clue what's english word for this, something like loggia tipical for old bosnian houses turkish style

  • Thank you so much for your help, that's the last piece in the puzzle.

Thanks to your efforts and the efforts of a few other people, the worst version of the song now comes with the most informative comments.

From what you say, "cardaka" sounds like it may be a loft or attic room?

Anyway, we've got the person not coming down from the cardaka bez ljubavi and the monkeys not able to come down from the trees bez ljubavi.

A brilliant song - it deserved to do much better than 10th

  • no problem,i will try

i saw this song today for the first time, i live in the states so i have been out of touch with eurosong.they did great job

this song and performance is on BROADWAY level

and if you want to hear original music "ne klepeci..." search for nedzad salkovic ne klepeci nanulama -very sad song

  • @evanssm1

in bosnian version laka says: that he tricks fauna and flora, human life do not start in an ocean (darvinism) but it starts with love (which separates us form animals),but more often than not humans are acting like animals- he says "we waste our days sitting and eating bananas/without love"

i am not trying to be a smart ass with but this is first time i hear this song and at first listening i was WTF,

  • Thanks very much for your excellent explanation - When I first heard Pokusaj in the Eurovision Semi Final I realised that it was a fairly profound song and when I read a translation of the lyrics I understood the main theme but I needed help with the connection between Pokusaj and "Ne Silazi Sa Cardaka" - are you able to fit all of the lyrics of "Ne Silazi Sa Cardaka" into 500 characters? Sadly, the English version of the song is a load of rubbish. Thanks again for your help.

  • I understand these words, but not bosnian words, but bosnian version is better than this!

  • i feel sorry for him...

  • I agree with most of the comments - the Bosnian version is a million times better than the English version. It's almost as if they are completely different songs. Can anyone help me with an English translation of the folk song "Ne Silazi Sa Cardaka" - two of the lines sung by the female singer come from that song and it would be interesting to know more about it.

  • evanssm1---Well i can help you with the translation of "Ne Silazi Sa Cardaka"-that means "Dont Come Off The Balcony"

  • Thanks very much for your help. I wasn't asking about "Pokusaj", I was asking about the two lines that Mirella sings from the song "Ne Silazi Sa Cardaka" (the other line is "Ne klepeci nanulama"). I know what these lines mean but I'd like to know why Laka is quoting them in his song - I want to know all the words of "Ne Silazi Sa Cardaka" so that I can understand the relationship between this song and "Pokusaj" - many thanks.

  • @evanssm1

"ne silazi sa cardaka" is a song about man who is coming home from his mother's grave and the noise his wife makes with her shoes reminde him of his late mother....

laka in his song at one point says "dont come from cardak-(top floor of traditional bosnian house not balcony) unless your love for me is strong and real"

conection between songs:we are all looking for unconditional love that our mothers gave us long after they are gone

    "love is the key"

  • After listening to this song about 20 million times, I think I've nalied the bit that the girl says! Which can only mean that I now know the whole song, pretty much, word perfect! YAY!

  • sto bas on treba da bude Bosna ? haha ali dobra pjesma !! FUN

  • No, The bosnian version Is way much better than this english version..

I'll try to kiss you, and you act like you don't know why...

I'll try to wake you, and you act like you're already up...

    or something like that :P

can anybody translate the lyrics into german or english language. would be nice.

    Thx

  • The lyrics of this song is already in english. This is the english version. >_>

  • well, than, can you give me the lyrics. i thought the song was not completly in english.

just see, his sister is not singing in english. so the total song isn't in english :P

  • I think the girl sings the same thing as in the bosnian version. I don't know the lyrics by heart but if you look for them on a video of the original version of this song you should find them :]

  • i love this song, its so fun

  • Great!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome song! he is so wacky! :D

a oni rusi pobjedise zbog trube od sto miliona dolara il' sta je vec...

  • Violina al nema veze .. :) i zbog onog pedera klizaca :) pesma je govno !

  • can anyone tell me whats Pokusay in English or German?

  • attempt or try :D

  • in english it mean try, on deutsch Versuch, Probe... And that "Pokusacu da te poljubim..." mean "I will try to kiss you..." :)

  • The song is actually called 'Experiment', not 'Try'. Laka got it wrong to begin with! lol

  • I sooo love this song!!!

  • I like this song so much! Refreshing, singable and danceable! Just great!

    Bravo! Odlični ste! ;-)

  • im glad great britain (ENGLAND) didnt win cause the're all bell ends.

  • fail troll

  • This is a litle gem. I'm glad it didn't win. It is not realy a eurovision song, and as such it is definately definately too good for the eurovision show. I love it.

  • I think the bosnian version is better :D

  • ahaaaaahahahahahah and the best video im bosnian and slovenian

  • Lyrics please? I can't hear what he's singing sometimes D:

  • Maybe you don't hear what he is saing, but why don't you look for a more accurate translation of the bosnian version, it's "better" I think

  • I already have the bosnian version translated, but I would like if someone wrote the lyrics for this song since I can't hear what he's singing all the time. I would like to be able to sing this song too. ;]

  • i'm from Belgium i wanted this or Finland to win.

  • I*m Irish. i don't understand the significance of the dancing swimmers(?) or the umbrella.

    LONG LIVE LOVE...

  • the best song ever in eurovision, i was so sure it's gonna win, woted for this song. so original

  • Its Serbian language, only that croats and muslims name it COATIAN and BOSNIAN in thear countres after the war....

  • Its NOt serbian language.

  • It just doesn't work when its sung in English.

  • Really good, but it sounds better in the original version even if I don't understand a single word. Really cool solg

  • Best song ever!

  • I can´t get this song out of my head.

    The refrain is so hypnotic.

Greatest song for years in european song contest.

They sings what is supposed to be english, but I think it is very charming. I really enjoy it.

  • Did you know that Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian are the most difficult languages. Hard for learn...

  • What about Chinese or Japanese, Korean, Mongolian :)

  • can you please tell me what is that "bosnian" language...?!?!?!

  • Very, very, very great song!!! Got my vote from Germany! Thumbs up Bosnia - you ROCK!!!

  • On original lenguage,so difficult-it's some kind of children's game, you try to kiss that girl and she react like WHAT THE F... ARE YOU DOING?But thats stunt! Both know whats going on,but it is sweet to acting like that!Pokusacu da te poljubim.a ti se pravi luuudaaaa-I'll try to kiss you,and you should acting like you don't know why! Sorry for my bad English...but my lenguage is difficult for translate...

  • I LOVE this song! It's amazing!

Personally, I prefer the English version because I can understand it! lol

I don't suppose anyone has this song that they can give to me? I NEED it on my mp3 - lol!

  • Best song! This should have won but typical political voting meant it didnt!

  • Actually Political voting works in favour for Bosnia. Two years ago we came second with Hari Mata Hari and Lejla.

  • ité english, listen!!!!!::::)))))

he sing in english, not cleary but it´s english.

  • this isnt in english

    this is really fake

  • lol Ha ha some of it is in English, some of it is in the original language...

But the English translation isn't exactly like the original...

  • know why he doing this, and why she SHOULD ACTING LIKE THAT(like she don't know why),'couse thats the game of seducing each other again and to start from begining and LOVE each other strongly!Sorry for my English,my language is dificult for translating, and dificult at all... :))

  • This is serious song, couple that forget to give each other LOVE and he became aware of that, they reduce relations, just lie down and eating bananas like monkies do(lezeci, jeduci banane),so they underestimate what they have together(pa spadosmo na niske grane),and now he try to rebild that and try to kiss her and SHE SHOULD ACTING like she don't know WHY? he kissing her,but diply both

  • Much better in english. "Please ahh" - really adds to it. Superb song! :)

    Got my vote from Sweden.

  • ireland here, this was the best song of eurovision 08, it rocked, go Bosnia

  • On original lenguage,so difficult-it's some kind of children's game, you try to kiss that girl and she react like WHAT THE F... ARE YOU DOING?But thats stunt! Both know whats going on,but it is sweet to acting like that!Pokusacu da te poljubim.a ti se pravi luuudaaaa-I'll try to kiss you,and you should acting like you don't know why! • my friend made my whole class watch this OH MY it makes no sense... but its catch LOL

  • hahahah yes no sense but very cool ;)

  • I thought this song was amazing lol (in the original language)... it has such a good tune. The acting was of course weird but hey... thats eurovision.

  • Bravo Laka and company! Excellent song... Love from Thessaloniki, Greece.

  • Are these the same lyrics? Where did the line abotu fallign about and eating bananas go?

  • its same, with little changes.. orginal song text is very hard to translate..but message its same -> LOVE...

    obozavam ovu pesmu

  • so stupid. its all changed. bosnian version is so much better.

    Greetings from Croatia.

    Come to us for summer..

  • Cute, cute, cute, I love it! Shame it loses some of its charm if you don't understand Serbian/Bosnian (whatever). My first impression was 'what the hell' and then I just started smiling :) Also liked France and Denmark. Nice to see a few great songs going astray to Eurovision for a change

  • I think English slows this song down a little, so I like the original version better.

Though it is absolutely wonderful in both languages. :)

It's a shame they didn't win, they had my vote. :)

  • is he singing that in english? I thinkhe should of 1 the eurovision!!! definetly the bast song!!!
