Brilliant! I saw Adge and the Wurzels twice - in 1967 at the Winter Gardens, Bournemouth and again in 1972 at the White Buck in Burley, New Forest. My father took me to see him both times, and I never regretted it. He was a fine showman and had a wicked sense of humour with the audience.
Let's have MORE Adge on YTand keep his memory alive!
I'm new to Adge. Well 10 years. Love all music from The prodigy to Elgar. Chilli peppers to Techno. Irish folk to pop. But have to say Adge's music warms the soul. I love over Mendip. Saw wurzels in Falmouth back long. Ansume night.
how fantstic, as a cutler, very beautiful to see the pics, my father will be very proud to see his brother, its made me smile, good ole uncle adge, keep going, we all love you so much, x x x x x x x x
Given the choice of going back in time and seeing either the Beatles or Adge Cutler, it would be Adge every time. I would have loved to have seen him at the Webbington.
I agree with Banjoman, i recall Adge setting the old Crown and Dove alive when he arrived to perform with Acker -must have been 1957!!!Cries of "wang you buggers" rent the air , great memories Dave
What a great character, performer& gifted songwriter Adge was, a little known fact is that he was once a roadie to that other son of Somerset Mr Acker Bilk. I had their 1st lp live at a Somerset pub, it was a great laugh , full of good scrumpy & western songs, 'ark at ee Jacko, Pill Pill, Champion dung Spreader, Casn't kill cooch etc. WHY has it not been re-released? It' criminal to keep Adge's songs from the public. Can anyone post those songs on youtube?
...he be up young wurzel tree and I be after he... I sees he ... he sees I, buggered if I don't get im, with a girt big stick I'll knock e down, blackbird I'll ave e.
Many, many years ago I saw Adge and the Wurzels at the White Hart pub in the New Forest. Good? They were bloody FANTASTIC - laughed like a drain!!!!!
We'm got a united Westcountry news programme now - lets bring on regional government free from the bonds of the EU, no tax on cider and the holy dialect taught in all schools.
I'm actually old enough to have seen Adge live at the Hartcliffe Community Centre many many years ago ... I remember him saying just before he sang " drink up yer cider " .. This has become known as my national anthem, but it's ok me old luvvers, you don't have to stand up for this un !!

Adge was great. I remember the day my parents told me he had died in that sportscar of his at a roundabout somewhere in the southwest.

Love the story in Bristol Evening Post today about re-naming Bristol airport Adge Cutler International. Adge would have loved that!
