A, fashion can be low end as well as high. B, Frank is who he is & would not dress like Bowie just to be on stage with him. C, Bowie is a fan of the pixies/frank & my guess is friends cause he calls him by his real name in an interview where he talks on & On how he loves the pixies.
So this is a show where a friend comes out & plays a song, not just some acts thrown together for art sake. FYI
@19KISStheSKY97 And insult does not constitute an argument per se. Don't agree with me? Fine. But if you like Frank Black that much that you choose to insult a stranger over it, at least muster up enough brain power to come up with your own defence of his merits, don't just go "Other way around". Idiot or not, you're still using my words so I'd take a long hard look in the mirror if I were you.
@bmclaughlin01 Haha! That is one of the funniest things I have read in a while. I love how Frank is in a T-shirt and just standing there while Bowie is all decked out and wearing makeup and dancing. It looks like he sure gets off stage in a hurry too. Weird stuff this is.
OK Bowie likes the Pixies......and so what! This can only be described as rubbish. I love Bowie and the Pixies.....but this song sucks big time and we all know it!!!
I don't know... make more sense? Depends on what you mean. I have never seen Frank Black dress "amazingly extravagant" and think it would look really awkward if he did considering he is like the king of the Grunge scene. hehe :) The lyrics of this song seem like a slap in the face to fashion anyway... I guess Stage presence and fashion matter to some, but in the end it's about the music and the lyrics to me. It comes down to taste.
@Lozzeii Haha! Yeah, I am a big fan of both artists, but compared to Bowie, Black looks like he just got off the couch straight from his mothers basement. Maybe that is the point, after all, the song is called "fashion".
@mwright83 Hmmm yes... but wouldn't it make more sense for them both to look amazingly extravigant haha... Just to embody what the word "fashion" actually means :)
Bowie originally had John Lennon sing back up on this tune, 30 years later he asks Frank - cool.

I pity the fool who tries to sing alongside Bowie. his charisma will blow anyone out of the water.

@ruteparedes Other way round. Idiot. Charisma doesn't mean just jumping around the stage.

@ruteparedes Wow. So you just criticised my insult for your insult. Good one.
19KISStheSKY97 2 months ago
@19KISStheSKY97 I didn't insult anyone. I expressed an opinion, resorting to a humorous catch-phrase.

@bmclaughlin01 it is a most catchy song... and Bowie's influence on Frank Black is so obvious with this song...

@georgeslenin If you made rock music in the 80s, than David Bowie influenced you.
