Theres a way to softmod by opening this. Theres a tutorial for that. Its called Free MC Boot. The only problem Im having is putting back that cable off the lid...The cable popped out of the lid and now my ps2 doesn't start up anymore. Is there anyway to put that back in?

@nickstaforeva That cable only makes the lights on your buttons turn on. Your system should still work without it. You can fix it, but you will likely do more damage than good after that happens.

by burnt games do you mean an empty disk or is their something burned into the game and how to burn a game to empty disc

@davidssshhhssshhh Are you serious? If the disc is empty, then that means there's no game on it. So yes, by "burnt games" he means games that have been copied onto a previously empty disc.

As for burning games, learn how to use Google.

the problem is i bought a ps1 game castlevania symphony of night and whenever i try to run it i get the ERD message

the back of the disc is jet-black so it could be painted or something but it doesnt look like paint
