Mine have never gotten yellow. i did have this string type stuff on the front four teeth to keep them from gapping. That stuff did get nasty. I mentioned to the Ortho and they used a different kind the next time. It stayed on for a year and never changed color.

I'm 13 and live in England I got my brace for free and having them out in a week!!! I've hade them in for 9 months with a power band and elastics which hurt wen u first get them. I had a brace before the train tracks cos I had w 1cm over bite. And going onto the. Retainer. If ur dentist says u need braces get them but if u just wanna get them for fun don't!!! There's no point it hurts beth xxxx

Not at all. They clean your teeth and use a special glue to attach a brace to each tooth. The wire goes in last and is clipped into each brace (sometimes slid vs clip).

The problem is that 2hr later your mouth starts to feel sore because the wire (which wants to return to its original state - ie. straight) it putting tension on the braces and this cause the pain.

And it can be intense depending on how much pain you can handle.
