In a fully balanced ecosystem the animal what eat what it desired when it could catch it, a bit rich that you blame improper care when doing your diagnosis from a video. are you a herp doctor?
i attempted to recreate a healthy ecosystem for the turtle to live in. thanks for your comments i do agree and suggest that people who want to buy one look into proper care first.
You say he is about 3 or 4? What are you feeding him? Whatever it is it's obviously way too much! His shell is over grown and completely deformed i have never seen a turtle at 3-4 years of age this big; you are feeding your poor Turtle way too much food. He is now deformed for life because of your lack of proper care. Please please before buying a Turtle learn how to take care of them properly they are a commitment for life and if you are going to have a Turtle you need to be prepared.
