  • You dont need an abundant amount of ass.. You good the way you are :))

  • Your brain is an organic computer, and the "soul" is the running program. Believing in the soul is like this: I come in and smash your laptop with a bat. You ask, "where is my Windows Vista running now? Has is gone to favored land of operating systems, where the file is always found? Is it reborn, running on a newly made computer? It's insanely obvious: The persistence of awareness and cognition beyond the destruction of the very neural network that gave rise to it is preposterous. Duh.

  • The way i see it Brain and mind are connected but distinct just as the computer hardware and software are connected but distinct damaging the hardware/brain will effect the running of the software/mind.

As to souls i have no evidence and just theories that are currently untestable so i can't help there.

  • I'd give you my ass but I've already sold my neck and I don't want to get confused on who owns what part of my body at any given moment. So I'm only giving out 1 body part at any given time. If I ever regain ownership of my neck you are welcome to have my ass.

  • I don't personally believe in the soul, but I have studied a lot of occult books. When a person's brain is damaged, only the physical half is damaged. The soul expresses itself through the physical body, and if it is damaged, it becomes incapable of properly expressing itself PHYSICALLY. I don't know if there is any way to prove the existence of the soul, and can't think of any such way. Proof of the soul does not = proof of God. Souls don't have to be made by God, this is a false assumption.

  • I played this video 2 times and all i could think of was hot hot hot, but then i played it the 3rd time and turned away and closed my eyes and thought how hot hot hot u sound but then i played' it for the 4th time and i actually heard u so i went straight down to my laboratory and proved beyond a doubt that there r no spirits or souls whatsoever!

    P.S. i have a girlfriend so don't stalk me

    P.P.S. mmmm lily white ass

  • your a beautiful, smart, atheist!!! awsome!!

  • Where does our soul go when we sleep? Nowhere, because it doesn't exist.

  • 3 parts sounds like Cartesian dualism but with 3 components instead of 2 so its trialism instead of dualism

  • Your approach seems very Dawkins-like-- sarcastically make superficially plausible objections to any non-materialist worldview, that derive most of there power from the fact that the concepts being discussed are difficult. Which I expect is the reason that he seems to have convinced formerly religious people (who haveprobably never really thought about it that much) of his simplistic materialist views. "Where's the evidence?", "Face the facts".. yada yada yada.

  • Rupert Sheldrake has provided empirical data that supports telepathy- which would imply that consciousness isn't confined to the body. There are accepted cases of functional people who have very little brain matter at all- which doesn't fit in with the conventional paradigm. I don't know what a soul is, or how it's different from mind or spirit, but I'm sure there's very little philosophical support for materialism- and any arguments for it *are* philosophical- not 'scientific'.

  • The idea that the brain is a receiver for consciousness seems as valid as the idea that it is the creator of it, since no-one has any good suggestions as to how insentient process could create sentience. Not that I think the receiver model is necessarily the whole truth. Reality isn't completely quantifiable, so the fact that something can't be quantified doesn't mean it isn't real. No being could quantify everything because it'd have to quanitfy its quantifying, incurring an infinite regress.

  • ENOUGH WITH THE FUCKING JUMP CUTS!!!!! Fucks sake. And stop repeating yourself so fucking much, goddamn.

  • @whoiswhobutwho

You know you can stop watching, right?

  • There is no soul, only a few dozens of Billions of Neurons inside each and everyone of us figuring out the whole world. That view may not be so romantic... but at least it's factual

  • Oh btw, I forgot something.

You can trade my fantastic, bony, white, marvelous, poop producin ass against yours. You will obviously lose a lot and gain practicaly nothing but I will still make the offer. Waddya think, wanna trade?

  • Christians say that the soul is a persons personality and character and there is actually a part of the brain which controls the preception of one self, it´s located behind the eyes. So the saying "the eyes are the gate to the soul" has some scientific meaning. However, it´s nothing like the soul christians talk about for the simple reason that once a persons brain goes, the thing shuts down and doesn´t go anywhere.

  • That theist website fails. "Soul" and "spirit" are synonyms. Also, the Hebrew word "Ruah," translated into "spirit" has also been translated into breath and wind as well. It's the same in Greek with the word "pneuma." Basically the whole concept of the spirit is extrapolated from the wind and the air we breath. The "spirit of God" is the breath of God (the wind).

  • No need to jumping there is no soul the proof....

    watch?v=sLywJd5x3AE

  • I can measure soles mine are a size 7.5 women US size. It's different in other countries apparently. ;)

  • Heck... I'd let you have my ass for a dime (if it wasn't already taken)

Anyway... the soul is that part of you that gets awestruck when you see something beautiful (such as yourself) or scared when you see something nasty (a creationist) and it is DEFINITELY inextricably connected to your body (Central Nervous System) in such a way that it 'dissipates' (ceases to be) if your CNS is permanently damaged or 'crashes' (ie. dies) - no mind, no memory, no sense of self, no soul

  • @magiorey

EPIC comment...seriously, one of my favorites yet!

  • @Shayrah Thanks! I appreciate that coming from you (I'm suscribed to you because I think you're incredibly smart and funny)

  • John: (looks at the bottom of his left foot, looks at the bottom of his right foot, shrugs his shoulders.) "I have two soles. I'm not sure what the big deal is."

  • Nah, you're right. The idea of a "soul" is just religious mumbo-jumbo. But as for Soul, Aretha Franklin knows a lot about that... :-)

  • Soul = (Entirety of person) - (Physiological things). Happens to end up as a 0 though, but still.

  • James Brown soul but is just another dead monkey now. Guess it doesn't make much difference.

  • For example, when a child was asked about a mouse that was eaten by an alligator, the child clearly understood that the mouse was dead, but still believed the mouse to be scared of the alligator and wanting to go home.

The brain does not sense its own internal actions (the complex process of formation of ideas, thoughts, and identity) and therefore generates a separation of what we perceive as the mind from the brain to alleviate dissonance caused by that gap in perception.

  • On the recommendation of Sam Harris via Facebook, I've been reading Michael Shermer's new book called "The Believing Brain: From Ghosts and Gods to Politics and Conspiracies -- How We Construct Beliefs and Reinforce Them as Truths"

Really good book as far as I've gotten (halfway through) and he directly addresses the concepts of "brain and mind" or "body and soul" and how it's intuitive to believe they're separate, while the evidence shows they're one in the same. No mind, no soul.

  • I has Soul, I has lots of soul, soul oozing out of my finger tips, soul in my voice, BUT, I do not have 'A Soul", no invisible eternal parts that ensure the survival of my ego identity what is firmly attached to the body.

Our emotions and so much of 'who' we think we are is created in and by the many biological mechanisms constantly at work in the brain and the rest of the bod.

Dead body? Dead soul. No more soul when the bones drop.

  • The "soul", all "gods" and all "demons" can be found in the shared membranes, tissues and neuro-electric interplay of primarily the amygdala and temporal lobes of the great ape brains. Though the cumulative effects of symbolic interpretations of addictive hallucinations, are most prominently displayed in the cultures of homo sapien-sapien, and "his" most direct ancestors, and their various parallel descendant branches. The soul mythos is most eloquently portrayed in the Cartesian theatre fable.

  • I attached a video response but for some reason it's not showing in the list.

  • @gamutman

Sorry sorry, it is up now...meh

  • And lastly...excellent point on how brain trauma can affect ones personality and behavior. If we had this immutable everlasting soul that represents "us", then one would think it would override the physical plane and dominate our personalities, no matter what happens to us in the physical world. However, let’s try not to let logic and reason screw up a good fairy tale. ;)

  • On a scientific/philosophical level, I postulate that the “soul” is nothing more than the electromagnetic field created by the bioelectircal creature known as a human, and to expand upon that, every living thing that runs on electricity (and all living things do) has a soul. The tapping of EM fields between people within a certain resonance frequency is what manifests “goosebumps” or even enhanced empathetic reactions to others. It’s electric!

  • Focusing on the tangent part of this rant...abundance of ass....yes...yes I would like more. How about yours? ;)

As for the soul...unprovable construct that man invented from thin air as a means to control the population by fear of being subject to eternal pain and suffering. Cuz after all, if you didn’t have a soul, then there’s likely no afterlife, ergo no means to control people in the real world by fear of that "eternal damnation" crap. ;)

  • If you define Soul as the essential quality that makes each of us a unique individual, then you definitely have one.

  • @PeterThenn

This sounds more like philosophy and semantics...

  • @Shayrah

    And Flattery.

Such things as soul and spirit belong to the realm of Philosophy, not it's child Science.

  • @PeterThenn Tell it like it is ;)

  • @PeterThenn

    Define Philosophy...

  • @Shayrah And now you are playing Semantics

  • @PeterThenn

You are saying that Philosophy is evidence. Please explain how...

  • @Shayrah

Philosophy is a method, not evidence.

I am not trying to convince you of anything.

If there is a non-physical component to Reality, Science is not equipped to deal with it.

It only deals with the observable.

  • @PeterThenn

But it isn't because "science is not equipped to deal with it". It is because it is an idea. It is philosophical and based on the supernatural. It is not tangible. It is not quantifiable. It is a feeling. Therefore, it isn't....real. I love and study philosophy. I enjoy reading many philosopher's works. But I don't claim those things to be "wise" or "true". That is subjective and no one is able to prove them either way. But you know this, I am sure.

  • @Shayrah

Everything you experience is part of your subjective reality,

    including all known scientific data.

There is no way to logically prove there is an objective reality,

since all of your evidence is part of your subjective reality.

Your conciousness may be all that really exists.

  • I second your thoughts on the soul.

If theists think that the brain isn't all there is to who we are...

That there is a soul somehow out there that in some profound way determines who/what we are...

What I would like to know then, is how the soul manages to interact with the brain. That natural forces does the immaterial soul use to manipulate/communicate with the body it is supposed to be in control of.

You can have my ass for free by the way - come and collect it any time you want :)

  • @IntolerantAtheist1

XD This comment is full of win!

  • The soul is a culturally-reinforced neurological illusion. The mind is a wholly physical set of processes located in the brain. The brain is part of the body, which is a biological automaton.

  • Who the fuck is stigma dane?

  • @TheZamario

    His name is TheStigmadeign...

Look him up, if you dare. But don't say I didn't warn you, he is fucking nuts! You should watch his video about "Shayrah's Bullshit"...It is extra stupid!

  • "If you did find proof of a soul wouldn't that make you believe in a God?" /facepalm /headdesk... THIS is a prime definition of a "New Atheist." Someone who just doesn't get it. I'll add that I'm an atheist who believes in the afterlife, a continuing stream consciousness. I like to use the analogy of a computer to relate to the idea of continuing consciousness. Computer dies? Remove the harddrive and put it in a new computer (reincarnation or afterlife applicable)

  • @Slashingsword

All that diatribe and nothing was said. I may be a "New Atheist" but I at least make sense when I talk. Philosophy does not prove the physical existence of a soul.

I don't know why a simple question asking for people's opinion on something would cause your head to go smashing into your desk, but you may want to be more careful when watching stuff on YouTube...you could seriously injure yourself if you come across something that is truly stupid.

  • @Shayrah If you ignore the rest of my "Diatribe" because of the 500 Cap limit, yeah, nothing was said. I had a 1500 word response that you should probably skim through, ya silly little quote miner. I'm willing to give you a chance to prove you're not an unmovable, rigid, fundamentalist atheist because that's how you came across in this video. You dismiss evidence (the bible) the way creationists dismiss science texts; You plug your ears and go "LALALA Can't hear you!"

  • @Slashingsword

How is the bible evidence and which bible are you referring to? How is asking a question making a claim and why do you think that is fundamentalist? Curiosity and discourse are now equated with being closed-minded? Epic fail, dude...

  • @Shayrah It doesn't matter which edition of the bible it is; or even if it's the Qu'ran or the Torah. It is evidence presented by a person or group. If you're so sure that it doesn't count as evidence then show me your counter evidence to any of the holy books. You obviously have the answers that thousands of atheists have been looking for for years; infallible proof that the bible is -not- the word of God. Please, share with us and the world so we may rid ourselves of religion forever.

  • @Slashingsword

If you would like some evidence, God contradicts himself constantly, watch some of my other videos where I show this occurs. Also, there are some really ridiculous things that happen in the Christian bible. People's opinions or stories do not equal evidence. Do you believe that animals talked or that rabbits chew cud or that am man died and floated up to Heaven? I do not.

All holy books can't all be evidence and they can't all be right. I venture to say they are all ludicrous.

  • @Shayrah Furthermore, you're taking other subjects from the bible that don't even pertain to the subject at hand. I understand -why- you're doing that because creationists insist that it's 100% infallible; if 1% is off then all of it is off and I agree with you there. I think, however relating a fable of falsifiable talking animals and I'll even take it one step further, flaming talking shrubs to the untestable and unobservable idea of the soul isn't keeping with the subject at hand.

  • @Shayrah "All holy books can't all be evidence and they can't all be right. I venture to say they are all ludicrous." Bold statement.. I'm assuming then that you've read every holy book cover to cover? the Digha Nikaya, the Diamond and Heart Sutras, all of the bibles from Anglican versions to the Seventh Day Adventists? Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda? That's just to list a few from just an infinitesimal fraction of the world's religions. Or do you just reject them like you do the bible?

  • @Slashingsword

I am not talking about philosophy. Of course, if I was, your argument would be valid. I can grasp the concept of a soul on a philosophical level but not on a physical one which is tested by science. That is not being closed-minded, it is merely asking if there is physical proof. Just because I am focusing on something, does not mean I am closing anything. You confuse staying on topic with shutting out information. If you would like to discuss philosophy, make your own video.

  • @Shayrah We've reached a common ground of understanding at this point. The only thing I want you to acknowledge is the soul is not observable, testable or falsifiable and doesn't fall into the purview of science. Requesting scientific proof is an absolutely valid demand for proof of existence but there are some things that science just can't be applied to; the soul and God are perfect examples. I've a scientific mind for where science is appropriate. Science can't be applied to the soul or God.

  • @Shayrah Also, it is closed-minded to flat out shut out something just because -you- don't accept it. Being open minded can be risky. It's incredibly important to have an open, critical mind so that when you -do- hear someone talking rubbish the idea doesn't stay in your open mind and take up valuable, valuable space. You're not being curious, you're shutting out ideas without accepting them first, applying critical thinking skills and sifting out the garbage.

  • @Slashingsword

What exactly have I shut out? I merely asked a series of questions taht humans have pondered about for centuries. js

Do you believe we can fly? I bet you don't. That makes you close-minded. You should watch QualiaSoup's vid on being open-minded. watch?v=T69TOuqaqXI

  • @Shayrah I -have- watched QualiaSoup's vid.. that's how I know in this video you're being close-minded. 0:30 you shut out the bible because "That isn't proof, we don't believe in the bible, we're atheists." There was a time when humans attempted to fly and through the scientific method and trial and error (and the right tools) we learned how. Flying is physical and can be tested by science. The soul would not be physical if it exists; it can only be discussed through spirituality and philosophy.

  • @Shayrah On top of that, using humans as an example for flight is just outstandingly ignorant. Human's are not built for flight. Try using something that -doesn't- fall within the testable, falsifiable world (the physical world and the ONLY world that science is interested in). If we're going to talk about something physical it can be tested; we -know- we can't fly by observing crazy people who think they can jump off of buildings. Using that argument was fallacious and intellectually dishonest.

  • I'm an atheist who understands the merits of philosophical discussion. I acknowledge the evidence put forward and deal with it; I don't just say "Oh it's the bible, that's not evidence!" Anything spiritual, which doesn't fall under the rules of our physical world (i.e., the soul, God, etc.) has to be dealt with by using wisdom and philosophy. Once you've given your counter-arguments to his evidence and vice-versa, then you can decide what you believe. Stop dismissing evidence, Just smack it down

  • New Atheists who ask -only- for scientific evidence and don't use wisdom bother me. Atheism used to be a belief arrived at by using philosophy and your mind. You can't just dismiss evidence just because "You don't like something" or you think it isn't proof. That's what creationists do with science texts. By just looking at the bible and hearing what it is and saying "No, that's not evidence." You're giving not only atheism, but science a name for itself as a religion. (con't)

  • Souls can mean very different things to different people. You could describe a soul as the non physical description of the mind. I don't think I agree with aristotle but if a soul exist Aristotle would be right that it doesn't exist after death. It would have to be dependent/interrelated with the body in order for one to exist.

  • @RuinSonic

That is an interesting idea, that the soul needs the brain for power. But it still doesn't explain very much and cannot be seen as proof. Could lead you down an interesting philisophical journey...

  • @Shayrah Keep in mind we aren't talking about dualism where the mind is a completely separate entity than the body. I don't even think I remember enough to explain it perfectly but basically he doesn't split beings into matter in spirit. Matter is qualities like redness, tall, short and form was the arrangement of the matter such as a person, or a plant, or a house. He believed the form of a person is their soul. It takes some good history of philosophy to see why he came to those conclusions.

  • @Shayrah But anyways the point is you could have a soul that doesn't have to answer the mind body problem or be separate substances. Not many people argue it these days probably because it doesn't make it easy to argue for an afterlife and it seems much closer to no soul at all or materialism.

  • Souls, or soles? Because the spelling would matter. Plus, it could be the vehicle Soul, fish, whatever.

  • 0:59: You should have told him 1st year community grads who attend Psychic faires and wear crystals don't count.

  • @Nagneto

I am guessing "they" was one person and someone who happened to be his doctor...

  • The soul I deal with is the way in which you treat others, including animals, bugs and things (oh, and don't forget, 'Mother Earth'). One's soul may be passed around because, hopefully, those you treat with respect will do so in kind. The 'soul' we pass on to our children (any and all children we run into may fit into this category) is reflected in their respect (hopefully) of our thoughts and dreams, mostly because we respect them, in turn. ...Beyond the grave - you're on your own, Hiawatha.

  • Body - Flesh

    Spirit - Synapses

    Soul - Mind

    There you have it.

  • @LegendaryAsshole

Okay, how do we quantify soul?

  • @Shayrah Two ways, One way is with fantasy. One is with scientific knowledge.

  • @Shayrah My soul is full of fuck.

  • We actually have 2 souls. The plantar surface of our feet. Oops-sorry they would be soles!!

  • What the hell are you gonna do with ogre's Lilly white ass? It would look good hung up above the bed

No a soul doesn't exist If we believed in souls then we'd have to believe in ghosts,Can ghosts be be proven to be real or are they tricks of the mind? Maybe on both points so can we see a soul lift from a body once it has passed on? I haven;t seen any dead bodies lately but my answer would be No

  • @gunnerdan70

I don't know how I would explain having a man's ass hung above my bed to all my lovers...

  • Not even a clue who the hell you're talking about.

  • @hevyAccel

    Ignorance is bliss!

  • @Shayrah I guess I have a motto now. But seriously until I sobered up and looked him up I never heard of the guy. BTW "Sobered up" is kind of a contextual thing right now.

  • Souls are very complicated. The Egyptians divided it into 5 parts, with the "Ba" corresponding most closely to our definition, i.e. thoughts, memories, etc (Wikipedia).

As a child of the 60s I understand what it is to have soul, e.g. Aretha Franklin.

I do know that there was a scientist, I think in the early 20th century, who tried to prove the soul's existence by weighing the dying (yes, I'm serious)!

  • No soul only soles :-) When talking about brain and mind, I like to think of physical brain as hardware and firmwear and its living and breathing and processing signals from nerves and from internal feedback, as the software and the software output. (that is the code and the result of running the code with the brain hardware). Mind tends to be about internal feedback about those workings, and similar self awarenesses. Or there abouts. Remembering brain has a lot of fractal properties.

  • It's the brain, everything originates there, which amazes me so much. It's such a tiny thing with so much complexity. And even when some parts don't function well for some people, for the same people other functions increase and work better. Parts working together, and sometimes parts work as seperate entities. Some of the brilliant minds of science for example, were people that were also insane for example. I can go on and on, the brain fascinates me so much.

  • Of course souls are real! I can see yours, and it's beautiful. ; )

  • I'm an evil spirit.

  • Who cares about souls? I want to know what you're going to do with Ogre's ass! Also you seem to have a rosary on your mirror there. ^_^

  • @Arikiel

I haven't decided yet but I hope it is attached to the rest of him because I would love to hear him say my name. He has a sexy ass voice!

I have spanked myself with that rosary on BlogTV...

  • @Shayrah I would give my ass as a loan to you in order to see spank yourself.

And no, there is no metaphysical soul. Psychology deals with a material soul that has to do with our brains, synapses, experiences, instincts etc

  • I have a personality matrix... but I don't think that counts as a soul... A personality matrix is man-made ^_^

  • Awesome video! Yep I remember being told the same thing about souls and spirits. It's all very interesting because the ancient Greeks thought of the soul as someone's invisible essence...basically, their personality or their mind was their soul. So in that sense, if you think that the soul is what makes you "you" and is just your mind or brain or personality, then sure. However, an immortal thing that will be judged? Nonsense. :)

  • P.S. (and not to bomb your video with comments) I love EvoGen. He does good work. Sorry I missed your show.

  • souls... hmm... not too sure on them at least in the eternal sense... The way I'd differentiate "Mind body and soul" is simply, the body is your physical presence, the mind is your conscious decision making self and the soul is the emotive decision making self. you know the saying "think with your heart, not with your head," that is the kind of decision i mean for the soul to take. if you want clarification please ask

  • Damned character limit.

    Anyway...

    4. Dunno what it is. Never got that. It isn't my brain or my body, though, and that's what matters. I mean, if it can't think or feel then it can't suffer. If it can't suffer then it can't matter what happens to it.

But yeah, I have no idea what believers actually think of when they think of a soul. I suspect that it's a Scooby-Doo-style ghost, though; just like us, only sorta translucent and insubstantial. Which is just too funny, innit?

    Thanks for this, love.

  • No such thing as a soul. Almost everything that a soul has been used to explain about the mind has been proven to be done by the brain. We are nothing more than a series of chemical reactions.

  • @klangeddon

Which I find beautiful and amazing! For some reason, others get depressed from this information.

  • 1. Hey, excellent. I expected you to respond to him, but I'm glad you responded to me instead. You know how I love response videos.

    2. Extremely well-edited; very "Arrested Development." Especially the bit about "no evidence" just under a minute in, and of course, the bit about me :)

    3. Don't get ahead of yourself. I haven't seen the five bucks yet and have signed nothing.

  • @OgreVI

Your ass is mine just tell me where to send the money...I'll buy your pussy, too!

  • Well I think that it is possible to have a supernatural without gods, so if there is a soul there may or may not be a god

  • No one will ever own the copyrights to what a soul is, the day I wake up without a worry in the world, is the day my soul will have found its place.

  • Stigma still doesn't understand burden of proof.. asking him to prove a soul exists without the bible? that might be a little too hard for him..

on a side note i like how you edited this vid.. very energetic

  • @Polum824545201

Thanks, I was trying out something new and was worrying about doing so. But I like how it turned out...

  • There is no soul. I tried to look through how a soul can exist, and it doesn't. Sorry.

  • Also, (now that I've watched the rest of the video) You can have my ass sans gratis if the gods will that our paths should meet

  • @AidanTAKFW

    YAY! Free ass! My favorite!

  • @ 4:20 are you talking about the Greek word for soul being psyche?

  • Wait a minute, why is my penis covered in superglue? Did I just post a comment to YouTube? What the f*** is going on? Anyway, why would I post a comment to YouTube? I've got nothing to talk about. NOTHING at all!

  • I can't get my head round this sophisticated theology, maybe I won't sell my soul after all...

  • Well, here's my two cents...

While Strong's Hebrew and Greek dictionaries claim that both a "spirit" and "soul" are what animates our bodies (usually, the original words, nephesh and ruach, are both connected to air and breath), the distinction is that the "nephesh" can also refer to our conscious mind; as can the "psuche" (Greek). So, I guess the short answer is, our soul is our consciousness, while our spirit is what keeps our bodies alive.

  • Or should I say "attractive younger brother" too? I wouldn't want to be sexist. I am sure all the christians, muslims, jews, hindus and buddhists here would agree with me there. Which makes me think, how many souls does a woman have anyway? Oh silly me, that must have sounded so stupid! I meant *what fraction* of a soul? Silly me... Maybe one of your holy books can tell me?

  • my official statement god done ooo look kitty

  • Also, I should point out that I am not the prophet of the one true god, creator of the universe, or one of his priests. So when I say "attractive younger sister" I do not mean a girl who's age is still in single digits. Just saying.

  • Damn I just thought - I should have said *muslims* take note. Then they could have kept my (free!) soul and honor-killed their attractive younger sister and then, well, what can I say? Everybody wins!

  • BTW if your attractive younger sister can't actually see my soul then please reassure her it is non-material so that is completely normal. After all the wind can't be seen either and so it is clearly non-material too, and we all know the wind is there! (Honestly, some people are so dumb!) Of course she may well ask you: how will she know if she has sucked it off? Pleased be assured, I will let her know! I am nice like that :)

  • Yah people who have souls are douches by nature. Not their fault it was gods doing, I'm sure of it.

  • Eh essa, how much you want for the soul… the soul, how much… I want to buy your soul.

Five dollar, I can buy asses all day for Five dollar, I give you two pendejo.

  • Tell you what, never mind the soul of a poet (I will flush it down the toilet for the LOLz). I will give my soul to the first comer under the following conditions: I have attached it firmly to my penis with strong glue. Please send your attractive younger sister around to suck it off (it is well stuck I can tell you). Then you can have it for free. Christians take note!

  • As I have said in previous comments I have the soul of a poet. (I keep it in a jar). I think I have proved this conclusively, not so much by my creative use of the word "c**t" but my entirely believable assertion that I could use the word "c**t" unbelievably poetically if I but wanted to. Anyway the poet in question keeps coming round asking for his soul back and I have only been able to put him off by insisting that I keep the jar. So, anybody want to make me an offer? Soul of a poet for sale!

  • The real question is, if the soul exists.... Would you open your Bobs?

  • Knee jerk reaction? No, souls do not exist. Neurobiology. However, if it does exist, it would be a form of energy. There was a time when we did not know that radiation existed. Perhaps the brain is an incubator for the soul and the consciousness is released into the Ether at death, lol.

  • @TheEmpiricalTruth

Does that mean the soul is going to hatch into something?

    hmmm...

    *strokes chin*

  • @Shayrah It will hatch into a pheonix just before catching fire and being reduced to ashes. Then, the ashes will reconstitute into tadpole looking things that will search the great rivers for virgins. At least that is what Lord Sauron tells me, or I wouldn't be picking the meat off these puny halflings.

  • @Shayrah elvin virgins

  • @TheEmpiricalTruth your a F**KING MORON, soul does exist, and I can prove it, james brown HA!!! checkmate atheist j/k :>

  • @wolfwing1 Oh sh*t! Consider this my official retraction.

  • @wolfwing1 I first used that one on Kingheathen a couple of years ago :>

  • Hey, since you now own OgreVI's lily white ass, can I have some of it? I can always use a good piece of ass.

  • @deriamis

    I don't share usually...but sure!

  • I sold my soul to the Devil for my devilishly charming good looks.

  • @TheBarkingAtheist

    I can tell! ; )

  • hi shay, this is bob, from the live stream =)

  • @fLyInGdUcKz62

    Hi, Bob!

  • @Shayrah (Takes a drink, wonders if anyone will get the joke.)

I like the ancient Egyptian idea of the soul, which was made up of your shadow, your reflection (or drawn image), your breath, your heartbeat, your actual physical body, all that stuff. They kept a mummy's guts in canoptic jars because the various organs were the seats of some of these things. I don't BELIEVE in this, myself, I just like the idea!

  • @GoblinXXX

I love learning about the different ways the ancient people tried to explain our consciousness when they lacked the ability to understand brain function.

  • My Soul, is in my Shoe..

  • @gettingolder2

Better hope it doesn't get lost...you won't be able to reason...

  • You can not have a body without the mind. Today you can with machines, but without the machines on we don't work well if you are in a comma. Our brains are everything, so no i don't believe in souls.

And if you are buying ass, i have a middle aged moldel in good shape, and very handsome i might say, with a free pussy eater. haha : )

  • ahh i c the mechanism of a soul, yes i understand, I somewhat believe it's a twisted mechanism.....it's this pointless thing people use to try to justify their actions, many ppl believe in soul/etc. but aren't "religious" it's the "religious" ppl who are generally out of it. missing too many braincells where it counts. Pantera - BE YOURSELF BY YOURSELF! that's all you have!

  • what if you're a ginger? isn't it proven that they don't have souls? :-D

  • @THEMrFill

    XD

  • @THEMrFill Gingers have souls-- If they steal them from BABIES! 8o

  • @GoblinXXX

    BWAHAHAHA!

  • I offered my soul to Stigma and he said HA! you believe you have a soul cuz you're selling it!

  • @Coquipirate

I think that only proves you want five bucks...

  • @Shayrah I do... want to buy my ass?

  • @Coquipirate

Sure, my collection is growing larger!

  • You cannot purchase my ass but I would gladly sell my soul to anyone with 22.70 and a jelly donut.

  • oh and by the way...in "kabalah" it's even more complicated.

there is your body, your life force, your soul, and your spirit.

your life force is a breath of life from god.

your soul is the link between your life force and your spirit.

the spirit is like a pathway for divine influence to reach from the being called god,to your soul.

but i wonder...if the soul leaves the body after you die,how can a soul retain it's "self"? it no longer has any bonds to senses, and body parts to feel, speak, and see.

  • there is the physical body and nothing else

  • shay...even if somebody could somehow miraculously prove to me beyond any doubt there is a soul,it will still not prove to me there is a god,and particularly not a monotheistic god.

i think that until recently, people who could not associate their "mind" which seamed non-material,to their bodies. and assumed that bodies are a container for "yourself" and is just there to enable "yourself" to interact with the environment.

    now we just know better.

    fractal out.

  • I was taught as a Christian that you are a spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body. The soul is where the mind, will and emotions preside. The body housed your spirit in order to function in the material world.

I do not currently believe in a spirit or soul. It's just more religious fantasy.

  • I don't believe in the soul. I also don't think evidence for the existence of one would also be evidence for a god. One could quite easily exist without the other.

  • I believe in lily white ass but not souls. A soul is supposed to be separate but is affected by actions of your body , unless you cheerfully and lovingly torture kittens because mean acts apparently put your sould at risk so do mean stuff lovingly. The soul is religion's bargaining chip for the terminally stupid. Ie , listen to us and you will keep your unicorn forever, disobey and you will lose it. Even the financially destitute can be a victim to this extortion.

  • souls dont they come in pairs and protect your feet !?

  • Look up James May Alfa Romeo 159 and you will know of what soul actually means.

Only british folk will know that reference.

  • Here's what the soul is...

    Imaginary.

    Body, mind... that's about it.

"Is the mind separate from the brain?"

They are linked. But it's possible that the more primitive parts of our 'mind' may be stored in other parts of our bodies besides the brain.

I recall reading an article about a so-called 'belly brain' which is a dense region of nerves within the abdomen.

  • @L00NGB00W

I have studied the belly-brain. It is very weird...
