i love this Movie, not just because of the excellent story but also because unlike many movies today it had the perfect balance of what needed to be CGI and practical models, don't get me wrong CGI can do wonders but i just hate it when it's too obvious that it's CGI and it gets over used, this Movie did CGI what really needed to be CGI, and still used practical Models and prosthesis to get the feal that you are really looking at a solid Machine

This and the teaser for Superman Returns are the best I have ever seen. The only difference between the two is T2 was just as awesome as the Teaser. Also this teaser is alittle better because we didn't have the world wide web to spoil anything for us. This trailer makes us believe Arnold is the badguy. It gets everybody thinking How could he be stopped twice?!?! I mean there is no way he could possibly be the GOOD GUY right? Lol

In the beginning they didn't want you to know Arnold was a good guy so the early trailers left it ambiguous. You don't know for sure in the actual movie til Arnold blasts the t-1000 instead of edward furlong.

@Shirashama Yeah they really messed up with the rest of the marketing though. "This time he's back for good." Like you say the film goes to some lengths to surprise you with that twist. Arnie appears to be the more violent at first, we don't see the T-1000 kill the cop. The T-1000 also for some reason keeps its own face and body when mimicking that same victim. Lots of stuff. I wonder if many people saw it without knowing. I did, but then I was 11 and hadn't seen Terminator so less of a twist!

TS and T3 are bad fanfic disguised as Terminator movies, i wished Paul Verhoeven cold have done parts 3 and 4 to make Terminator as gritty as they are suppose to be instead of goofy like T3 or Alien 4 style on TS, i mean Verhoeven made some awesome Sci-fi movies like Robocop, Total Recall and Starship Troopers as he is a fan of T1 and T2, he would have been better.

Paul Verhoeven would probably have been a much better choice as the director of the sequels though. But when you come right down to it, only Cameron himself could have made sequels that truly measured up to, if not even surpassed, his first two films.

T2 is a superior sequel to almost every other sequel ever made, including The Dark Knight, and possibly a superior film to many others.

On great sequels it is awesome and i bet you don't you know it was like seeing this on the big screen Luke like me, i saw 4 times in theaters at 10 and got nearly all the merchandise including playing the games and getting it for Christmas. I think it's on the same level as Godfather 2, Dawn of the Dead (1978), Empire Strikes Back, Evil Dead 2, Superman 2, Star Trek 2, Spider-Man 2, Indiana Jones 3, Two Towers, Dark Knight or whatever awesome sequel there is.

Awesome movie! i saw the trailer to this movie on the Total Recall video back in november of 1990 when i rented Total Recall on video and the teaser blew me away, i had to rent the first movie to know the story and loved it. I saw T2 4 times when i was 10 years old and had nearly all the merchandise and played the arcade game lots of times.

This scene of T2 was planned in a possible way that Kyle Reese infiltrates the factory, before he's sent to the past.

Now THIS is how you do a teaser trailer. It also reminds me of very awesome TV show intros, like Miami Vice, A-Team and Dukes of Hazzard. Meaning, the intro captured the essence of the film/show so well, you were always psyched to see it!

Back to the T2 teaser: The pacing, lighting and lack of any dialogue gives it the kickass factor. The hydraulic and pneumatic tool sounds made it that much more fantastic.

Salvation was set before those things happened. John was older when lasers and T-800s were common on the battlefield.

I would agree Salvation was a disappointment, but I thought Marcus was one of the best characters in the film, so I don't see how you could dislike him.
