I was reading the daily mail newpaper online after the attack on the gaza aid ship. The comments section was filled with pro and anti Israel comments as you would expect. But on the first day the comments rated most highly were the ones which were critical of Israel and the ones rated lowest were the ones which supported Israel. Now, it is the other way around. I put this down to Israelis suppressing the rights of free thought. As they suppress the rights of free speech.
People giving thumbs down to a comment is not suppression of free speech, they are letting you know what they think about your comments. Do you know what is the meaning of freedom of speech? You make a comment & I reply back with a rebuttal or short of ideas call you an idiot or something of that nature. Sure, what their doing today is inexcusable and I support the efforts to suppress the atrocities on *both* sides. But really... who started this. The only reason the atrocities on Israels side are much greater in scale is because they are more powerful and have access to more sophisticated technology and have better allies.

I was reading the daily mail newpaper online after the attack on the gaza aid ship. The comments section was filled with pro and anti Israel comments as you would expect. But on the first day the comments rated most highly were the ones which were critical of Israel and the ones rated lowest were the ones which supported Israel. Now, it is the other way around. I put this down to Israelis suppressing the rights of free thought. As they suppress the rights of free speech.

Sure, what their doing today is inexcusable and I support the efforts to suppress the atrocities on *both* sides. But really... who started this. It was no one's land to begin with, except maybe for a few nomads. The Palestinians started the first conflict, and it has been going back and forth since the late 60's. The only reason the atrocities on Israels side are much greater in scale is because they are more powerful and have access to more sophisticated technology and have better allies.
