@denmassam So far this has been the most asked question and most difficult to explain it seems. :-) Pronunciation: Hai = comes directly from throat Hain = along with nasal sound. (please refer to audio of the videos) Usage: Hai = Used for objects/people depending on the statement. He walks = woh chalta hai. I have it = mere paas hai Hain = used for object/people They walk = woh chalte hain. I have them = mere paas hain. These are just few examples.
Ahh thank you soo freaking much, I know an indian girl that lives by me and i always tell her how i wish i was born indian, but im scottish, english, german, BLECK haha. anywho thank you :) I will for surely ask for more ;P
karte/karti comes from the verb "karna" to do. Karta is for masc. and karti is for fem. karte is for masc. plural and karti is the same for plural as well as sing.
Love your voice and instructions. You make learning Hindi so easy...you also remind me of someone very special to me that I lost contact with - he is fron Sri Lanka. Would love to vist India and the island of Sri Lanka one day.
Hi Namesthe. I am from tamil nadu. When i was working in TN. The hindi was not required for me. After i came to bangalore for job.. Most of the people are talking in hindi. Then only i realized how much valuable language hindi is. now I can understand and talk atleast 50%.... Nowadays my friends are saying that you have good improvement of talking hindi... to main bohut kushi hoee.... All the credits will come to you only... Sukreya..... Keep up the good work... God bless you....
बकाया!!! के अंत में यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सबक मु३ो आशा थी और सुनने के लिए हिंदी के शब्दों में' ए आई आर "और" जल "लेकिन दूसरे की अपेक्षा थी कि आपका सबक नितांत बकाया है ।
Mee too! I just would like more lessons after 5 into more conversational !! it is difficult cuz tamil is so different from hindi, and everyone expects me to know hindi since they think i am from north india
I'm enjoying these lessons... Thanks for having them. Could you perhaps add some basics like "Hello", "Goodbye" "I love you" if not, whatever you add I'll be looking forward to.
oh i see i thought you already know hindi coz' you asked 'Lesson 4 kahan hai, yaar' very casual way of asking wow!! you have been learning great that means. by the way what I wrote meant "you already know hindi then...." phir = then ;)
That was hinglish...I learned kahan and hai from you...since I didn't know how to say lesson 4, i left it in english....yaar I learned from a couple of indian students at UTA where I study....they always call each oter yaar, so I figured it must mean buddy, or something like that....I am a fast learner...hope you will post more usefull lessons soon.
Hello! What is your name? where are you from? I am bored. I am hungry. Let's go out to eat indian food. Let's go watch a movie. These would be very usual sentences to learn. THANK YOU!

Namaste I am enjoying your lessons, I think your pronounciation is better than Pimsleur. For the 'where is' phrase is it "kida hain' or kaha hain' ?
Thanks, keep it coming I am looking forward to returning to India to try out my "bahut zyada nahi hindi"!!

You know, if you combine Indian tutorials with a few Bollywood movies (with subtitles in your primary language), it would be easier to learn...
That is how I am trying to improve my Spanish...and pick up Arabic! I think it is actually quite helpful of a technique...
