  • i have 24GB ram

  • Pero qué estupidez. Claramente está acelerado

  • i have 512 mb ram!!

  • Kingston memory is win ^^

  • 24gb is overkill

  • @xSnip3rMontag3sx

Not at all , Its future proof.

We will reach and go beyond 24 gb in a few years,

  • This is a technology demo; product is now available early 2011.

    Production cost: Six 4G DDR3 UB modules = less $400 U.S.

    :D

  • I'll be back on future with that!

  • What brand and model is the motherboard? I want a cpu with that capacity, how much money do I need?

  • dude that motherboard is prolly for a server xD

  • That's just fucking ridiculous.

  • thats ALOT of Virtual machines, my 1gb can only play 1 VM :P running on win 7

  • I WANT THAT RIG!!! O.O

  • @esponert105 indeeth, you can buy it. Tap it in google. This RAM is used by the professional video editors (movies) So you must get it. serch memory for WorkStation

  • People who edit videos professional must have thise RAM 12-24 Gigs

  • HI, can i use my 1GB DDR2 in to my new PC which is DDR3.

  • @uphill248 Absolutely Not Even If You Try It Will Not Even Fit In The Slot.

  • you can never have too much RAM :D

  • i cant find 4gb ram on stores!

  • 24gb is waaaaaaayyyy overdone my 12 gb is overdone i should have gone with 8

  • OMG!!!!

  • haha a lan with only 1 pc

  • what is he doing in the end?? closing multiple computers??

  • Damn this is awesome! =D

  • blah he just only run menu of crysis, he couldnt start the game lOL cuz its pwnage

  • jajajajajaja hahahahahaha

  • That would be a dream to have, but why 4870X2 2GB? Isn't the GTX 295 better? If you were in to saving money i would go for the ATi. But if it's dream buil I would get the gtx 295.

  • when this ram out 295 not out yet

  • isn't it pushing it :P i mean...2 years it might be crap and ppl will have 100 gigs of ram XD, jk :P

  • 2 years? That's EXTREME, no way. Based on current trends, I'd say around 5-7 years 24gb will be standard.

  • @2000knight ya, and in 10 years we have 256GB of RAM, and then 256GB sticks become availible XD

  • @2000knight 2 years later and this is still insanely overkill =d

  • what is this song?

  • Its sweet as hell huh? I want it too

  • holy shit that more then I paid for my car!!!!!!!!!!!rofl

  • Common question: Why did they not run Crysis?

Simple Answer: Gameplay performance would then rely on the "unknown" Nvidia GPU and that's not what this video is showcasing.

  • $2000+ Damn that is a whole rig!

  • Comment removed

  • Holy shit!

  • I favorited the vid just so i could listen to the music.

Then i recorded it with Audacity xD

  • What Iz the song?

  • What IS the song?

  • WHAT IS THIS SSONNGGG

  • ahah I seen a motherboard that can do this, around 200 bucks, not that expensive for something people would have an orgasm about. The DDR3 memory is alot though no lie.

  • i'd like to see linux as a host with compiz running and 9 VMs on each side of the "cube"

  • holy shit 24G maaaaaaaan

  • Very Nice Mov. ..! | 5*

  • Value ?

    =/

  • cool

  • i have the sooooooong now! ahahah ask for it!

  • hey plz give me the song

  • I want the song PLEASE!

  • I want that soooooooooooooong!!

  • really cool song

  • Comment removed

  • the Crysis loading/menu screen is not a true indication of showing performance, although running 9VMs is quite interesting. i wonder how it would perform running a game in each VM?

  • probs not that good!

  • Haha this is why youtube is so damn interesting. it can keep me entertained for hours and hours! haha It's so entertaining

  • This video is accelerated.

  • who needs that kind of menory man

  • VFX!

  • me, me and again me. virtualization rocks.

  • i wish one *__* XD

  • Hey there, don't suppose anyone knows the name of music for this video? Thanks in advance!

  • This is nothing... watch this: watch?v=ZxctHVzrHPE

  • how can we get the song?

  • Omg

  • 1. They didn't start the actual Crysis Game, so Crysis didn't use as much as It would ingame. But then 9 VMs going is nice ^^

Id love 24 gb of RAM, on my gaming rig XD

  • This video was speed up, the crysis cutscenes are faster and look at the vista aero spinny thing when he shuts down the vms.

  • nah look at the clock, UNLESS THOSE SNEAKS PUT THE CLOCK IN SLOW MO THEN SPED IT UP!?!?!?!?!?!??!?

  • the virtual machines have been asleep. when they went to sleep the time was earlier, so when it wakes up, it adjusts.

  • nice piece of memory, but thing that kicks ass is the song :]

  • From where it is possible to get that song?

  • how far can it overclock ? Did the nb voltage needed to be increased or any other issues ?

  • Hi all. Song name - Funk Fiction. Artist name - Dealers of Nordic Music AB. Enjoy :)

kingstonhyperx - thnx for great video :)

  • Thank you.

  • What's the song playing in the background?

  • I'd like to see 9 instances of Crysis running on each VM.

  • Point of that?

  • the point of that is,

that this is extremely high bandwith, low voltage memory,

it is in fact the first public demo of samsung's very shiny new 50nm memory chips that run at just 1.36v

this is an awesome new tech and definatly worth the attention..

even tough the price is 2000 USD but thats based on the engineering samples.. once they start rolling off the production lines price will drop rapidly

  • me too lmfao

  • was that a vmware workstation on windows 7 runnin 9 vm's with windows 7 and crysis on one of them with 3d accel?

  • i am curious, the point of the video is to demonstrate the Intel X58 chipset is capable of support up to 24GB of DDR3 memory?

  • no to show the power of 24GB of ram

  • video is speed up!

  • agreed...

just look at the right corner clocks

i would have 24GB though lol

  • oops, pumpaudioDOTcom,

    songname: Funkfiction

not sure if you can access it.

  • we can not access it...

do you know the artist name?

    it's great funky house!

  • looks to me that Kingston is showing 24G of memory is being used to turn on one VMware workstation and nine VM's, plus Crysis on one of them.

That's the equiv. of ten computers running on one desktop.

Looks like each VM is using around 2G - 3G or memory, THAT"S COOL. Good Job Kingston.

  • What song is it?

    Funkfiction found on pumpfictionDOTcom

  • What?? What is name of the artist and track??

    This web doesnt exist! :(

  • lol... you have to replace the DOT with a period ... he did that so it wouldnt mark the website link as spam :P

  • lol...im not stupid :D So again, this web doesnt exist :-P

  • ah, just trying to help, since some people just copy and paste it and expect it to work... no offence meant to be dealt out,

hmmm, I seem to recall when I saw this vid it worked for me :S

  • ok ok :) now it already works for me too :)

  • Used some video shortcuts to show it in under 3 minutes, fast forward video techniques.

Boot speed was limited to the speed of one HDD.

yepp yepp, could get much better boot times using SSD or even SSD RAID config., maybe next time.

extreme pure amount of memory was the main point of the video.

  • you are still missing the point, it's not as much about extreme speed but pure amount of ram available

  • You are making the same argument I am. In other words, you are saying the point of the video is to show that 24GB ram works flawlessly & that's why the video is fast forwarded. If the 24gb ram were truly flawless, you would not need to fast forward the video. the flaw is the RAM. the DDR3 latency makes for a very unimpressive video because it is slow. the flaw is the fact that in this video 8gb DDR would be just as fast as DDR3. we all know it's possible, but for $2,000 you must ask why???

  • watch the clocks on the screen. it appears as if the only technology being used here is the FAST FORWARD button. does Kingston sell fast forward buttons for XP systems? If so, I need one.

  • well the main point of this vid is to show that the 24gig memory setup actually works flawlessly. So what if the vid is sped up to save some of your time?

  • stable, sure. but fast forwarding only masks the EXTREMELY HIGH latency that comes with DDR3. If you played this at regular speed, everyone would say "wow, XP with 4GB ram is MUCH faster" the fact is, Vista is WAY too bulky and DDR2+DDR3=just a way to make it seem that your system is much faster. Yes. DDR3 is faster than DDR. but think about it, what good is DDR3... because of it's latency, it pauses, then has to make up for lost time

  • sick ^^

  • sick xD

  • The music is really cool, Boogie!

  • Crysis in VM?? How did they got 3d-accerlation working in VM?

  • Yeah, we want to know the name of the song ^^

  • pretty expensive setup.. quadro fx4500, corei7, 24gb ram... :P

  • since when u can have 3d acc in vista in vmware? thought it's XP only atm...

  • need!

  • need!

  • what's the song man??? thanks!!

  • thats not the song

the virtual machine's clocks are going too fast...

  • Very nice! What's the music called?

  • f*king nice!

  • wow, but price?

  • $2000

  • nonsense for 99% users

  • now it´s not useful, but in a few years...

so what is against this technology?

  • Great music, what is the name of this music?

  • too slow memory,

    just 1066mhz ddr-3.

nice they have these large capacities though.

  • cool

  • DDR3 1600/9=DDR177

  • Do they give a woman to for that price ?!?! ;))

  • WOW the fast and the furious xD

  • I agree too, but what's the song?

  • Comment removed

  • way 2 fast

  • to asphyxxiant

VMWave does support DirectX 9. My virtual machine running Win XP got ~2300 points in 3D Mark 06. However it is almost 4 time less than in the host system.

  • Idiots, they are not gaming. That's not the point. They are just showing off the 24GB in there.

And since Vista + Crysis uses a lot of memory... they use that.

  • I agree, but what's the song?

  • 1. only game menu was shown, no actual gameplay = no actual load on machine

    2. even if so, vmware doesnt run DX games, because it doesnt support graphic cards emulation, does it?

nice vid, but most likely it is fake, or some parts of it are fake.

  • MS has Windows emulation things for Windows?

  • Shazam can't tell me what the song is :( Anyone?

  • can someone please tell me how the hell they managed to run dx games in a virtual machine? any info would be brilliant thankyou (im aware taht this is possible on mac bootcamp is tehre a windows version?

  • 3d in vmware?...... is that possible?

  • why not?

  • realy nice :) but very expensive.

  • very nice

  • Anyone know what's the song?

  • it`s a Vista 64 bit ??? ))

  • whats the song

  • $2000 :O yes and whats the song?

  • that is sick.....24GB......i love this track......who's the artist damn it
