  • Their voices seem to dance gracefully and slowly as the music develops, almost as birds flying. It's incredibly moving and beautiful.

  • does anyone know what key this is in?

  • The clarity of Janowitz is just magnificent. And then what can one say of Dieskau? Even Haydn is smiling happily in the next world when listening to him...

  • Yes! This is the best music suited for soprano Gundula Janowitz. I find that her Mozart roles are too "elevated" in sound and not as earthy/real as they should be. Her Countess in Figaro is too angelic! Her Fiordiligi the same. She has a heavenly voice so perfect for religious music like Haydn's The Creation, or Oratorios and chorales, Masses and Requiems. Her voice did really sound like an angel singing. I wonder how you can get your voice to sound like that lol

  • @AmericanEvita I LOVE her contessa...

  • This really music from heaven!

  • Minunat.

  • Janowitz is the best

  • A miracle.

  • just enjoy the music for what it is!

  • i've this cd!! it's the best rendition of the work ever! what a great combination - haydn, berlin phil, karajan, janowitz, fischer-dieskau, berry, wunderlich etc.... every haydn fan ought to get this album...

  • I have this in the 33rpm LP's bought 37 years ago in New York Manhattan. Truely a great piece of music sung/conducted by the finest artists!

  • 'Wonderful' will fall rather short... Let's say it's just 'miraculous', the performers, the composer, everything. And thnaks a lot to Dackelfreundin for sharing this.

  • Sublime, thanks Dackelfreundin, what a tribute from mankind to the Creator. Thanks also to Gundula and Dieter.

  • Such beautiful music beautifully performed; unfortunately I can't listen to it without thinking, with pain, of what we're doing to that Creation - here filling 'our first parents' with wonder and praise for its pristine perfection, God's handiwork.

  • Magnifique duo "Adam et Eve"....mais ce n'est pas Walter Berry qui chante, mais Dietrich Fischer Dieskau !!!

  • You´re right, of cause it´s Dietrich Fischer Dieskau, i´ll change it. Thank you.

Have you seen the version with N. Dessay and L.Naouri here on you-tube? Even very, very nice live performance.

  • what an outstanding performance...
