@vsgf Well, I don't know how powerful the trucks are in the country that this took place but I can say that the drag created by wind would not be enough for the driver to feel. Especially at speeds in metropolitan or towns. My biggest argument is that he should have: 1. made sure his trailer was down and secure and done a pretrip to make sure everything was working and not malfuntioned. 2. check his mirrors (every 7 - 8 seconds in the U.S.).

truck driver doesn't forget his trailer. the trailer is attached and with him as he drives. It does appear that he either forgot to lower it or he forgot to see if his partner lowered it.

Electrical over hydraulic fault in the PTO control system . Unfortunately more common than you think. If you interlock the air switch in the cab correctly. When the hand-brake is released the PTO disengages and the tipper valve spring which returns to neutral returning all the oil to the reservoir ram tank. You can stop this happening. Some PTO's also give an engaged signal to ecu which can disengage PTO if the truck is moved, thus repeating the sequence.
i cant imagine how can a truck driver do this, never look in the mirror for 1 thing, and dont hear the other ppl peeping whit their signals or what. Stupidity at its finest.

@littlefamemonster2 Beeing a truck driver myself with more than 2.000.000 miles under my belt and no accidents, I have to say that there is no excuse for what that driver did. But your comment about HATING truck drivers is an insult to those who know what they are doing.. Just so you know...EVERYTHING you buy or eat or all man made things you see have been on a truck in one way or the other. this is not the drivers fault, sometimes there is a leak in the valve, so even though you put you cab down, it starts going up very very slowly once you reach higher revolutions on the road, so the it would have been kind of hard for the driver to realize it

truck driver doesn't forget his trailer. the trailer is attached and with him as he drives. It does appear that he either forgot to lower it or he forgot to see if his partner lowered it.

Electrical over hydraulic fault in the PTO control system . Unfortunately more common than you think. If you interlock the air switch in the cab correctly. When the hand-brake is released the PTO disengages and the tipper valve spring which returns to neutral returning all the oil to the reservoir ram tank. You can stop this happening. Some PTO's also give an engaged signal to ecu which can disengage PTO if the truck is moved, thus repeating the sequence.

Atleast these people are Humane enough to stop there vehicles and run for/to help the injured. There is this video of a hit in run In the states and all the people on the sidewalks were just starring at the poor man as he just laid there and died. Fucking twats. Nice to know atleast some people in this world would risk there safety to help others. Props to the country this happened in. Bad accident, good people. Care for there own.
