  • Hmmm interesting.

  • Muqtada al-Sadr and his Mahdi Army were poised to gain control of the ancient relics from the museum. This would be like the Catholics gaining control of the Ark of the Covenant. Imagine al-Sadr holding up the oldest of relics from the so-called "cradle of civilization" and claiming ownership. He would become all-powerful, and that's why the Americans pounded his troops at the museum and allowed the looting.

  • it seems to be best iraq documentary out there. Walter Slocombe probaly told to ignore this issue (going over there) or he is really so dump, respect to those man/women who tryed to save that nation (Jay Garner, Richard Armitage, Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, Col. Paul Hughes) and many many other good people

  • The war in Iraq is an absolute disaster and it is going to end very badly for America. If any good can come from this, hopefully Americans will think twice before they decide to launch another unprovoked attack against another country. As the insurgency in Iraq is showing every day there are all sorts of ways to fight a war and hurt your opponent, not just the American way with its hi-tech gizmos and over-reliance on technology. Satellites and submarines don't protect you from a suicide bomber.

  • fuck slocombe

  • Incredible... I showed this documentary to my college classes--in large part because of the impeccable resumes of the people being interviewed, like Paul Hughes. My students were outraged! Many of their friends and family members are currently serving in Iraq, suffering because of incredibly bad leadership on the part of scumbags like Slocombe, Bremer, Bush, etc.

  • Look at this guy shuffle -- disgusting. Slocum and Bremer and their wacked out egos. Disgusting.

  • This is typical scum, Slocum is just like the creep that works in a million offices, and brown noses his way to authority, then has no clue what he is doing, and doubles his bluster to cover it up. He has zero concern with Iraq - he only cared about his own career and ego.
