  • Sweet, ty 4 tutorial!

  • what i wanna know is how u make the bass synth for that song i like it

  • You know, having a voice is nice ;)

good sound, what scaled are those little fast paced sections of notes you play whilst your doing the tutorial? They're heaps sick :)

  • Set up a donate account, and a label becomes irrelevant. I don't want to give my money to anyone but you!

  • this tutorial is ok, but you move so fast. Its hard to create along with the video b/c you move so dang fast!!! give us a chance so we dont have to pause every 3 seconds.

  • when i listen to this i dont know a single song from noisia or pendulum where i would say yeah :) (except voodoo people rmx)

but i have 5 times more songs from loki i listen to :)

  • nice!! and about the bass i aaaskk tooo amigo..!! the bass sound bestiality.. please bass tutoriaaal...

  • That Loki was an awesome tune.......repect. I'd like to hear more of your stuff, where can I buy it. Is it available for download or on CD/Vinyl?

  • @wildfire2097 his tunes are out on bad taste recordings, go check it out

  • around 3:12 - sound, reverb, delay - same like in Noisia's - Split The Atom intro :)

  • @marqs2pm haha, never noticed that :)

  • @marqs2pm Wow, it really does!

  • How bout That BAASSS!! Tutorial plz

  • szp which key comand r u using to change the echo on the delay?

  • 101 likes, 0 dislikes

  • wow gr8 tune m8 :D i love it,........ im on reason 4 as well been makeing tunes for about 6 or 7 years now.... keep up the good work m8

  • this is pure gold babyyy

  • you really make Reason sound really good and you actually use the synths most producers (that are big) use samples of hardware synths and load em into the NN-XT which is a VERY powerful samlpler my god is it good anyway would love to hear your take on some techno or itchy scratchy type tek house hmm?

  • very nice bro thanks for sharing

check out my new dubstep track if you like, I'd love to hear your comments. All done in Reason which I also love to death.

keep up the good work bro

  • sicckkk!! how can you be this good and not be signed ??? sick sick tune :)

  • how do you know hes not signed ?

  • cause on his profile it says unsigned

  • sick

  • ramp up mod on filter cutoff... during 4 bars..

    thanks again loki ;)

  • Why Arent You SIGNEDDDD!

its so depressing, one of the best talents in drum and bass at the minute and you arent signed

    Miles better than noisia

  • @gibsonmozart noway man. not better then noisia. he should be signed though.

  • ye man hes like better than spor n i like spor :P

  • @gibsonmozart Being signed is sometimes a bad idea tho, they rape your money. If you can advertise yourself with all the free services out there then that's the better idea in some cases.

  • whats the tune name in the beginngin? its fuckin sick

  • imsomniac obviously

  • lol i thought the plugin was insomniac.

  • lol :)

  • aye loki is the master of reason. i gotta be honest i think hes gifted. i thank him for posting thse videos aswell. alot of people would be peavish and not show you how thy do things but loki does. thats why i got nuff respect for him :D keep up the awsome tunes loki

  • Thanks for the awesome tutorials! Can you please do one on Mixing? I followed your Mastering tutorial and my finished tracks are still quiet compared to yours! Thanks again :)

  • thank you thank you thank you

  • even tho i make house i still learn more from your videos then any other tutorials on here

  • yay nice patch

  • Another very good tutorial Loki. Thanks for your help :-)

  • big up yourself loki your tutorials are the best ive seen for reason users siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick

  • how does urs get epically better over time? :D i tried it out wit my own notes and it doesnt slide so well between notes :(

  • I have the same problem. I think it's just a case of sticking at it until it works.

  • thats because Loki has the magic touch. :) I've done allot of the stuff off the tuts and it always comes out as a far lesser version... he either has supreme 'luck' in just falling on the exact right micro settings or incredibly in-depth micro tweaking done with an easy that makes it nearly impossible to tell! lol

  • Охуенно!

    ---

    Very GOOD!

  • Dude, my friend out does me EVERYTIME with FL Studio! How can I get a clear, "in your face" sound like you. My major issue is that my production sounds muddy & I don't know how to separate my mixes. I LOVE reason 4 but feel like I need to go to Logic for better plug-ins and sound. Help, any advice!? Thank you, pitolove71 (channel)

  • its all about compression and knowing your monitors. Loki also has a mastering suite tutorial that helped me out quite a bit. I've found in my time with reason (since 1.0) that it doesn't like higher frequencies too much. I had a tough time getting punchy that punchy kick and bass, but if you keep playing around with compression and EQ your tunes will come around.

Also sometimes messing with EQ too much can really make your mix sound like its getting worse.

  • ure fuckin awesome at this stuff :P

  • hey buddy iTs aawssum!!

its my very 1st tym 2 search 4 reason tuto....

    n i got nyc sTuff!!!

i hav jst started 2 work wth reasoN!!!

n i need 2 know how 2 create a perfect sustained lead gutar!!!

  • your best shot is to use a sampler and load a suitable patch, either that or a Dr Rex file. Its almost impossible to synthesize a believable sounding guitar so samplers are as close as your going to get.

  • There is a sweet sounding lead patch in the combinator patches folder (synth leads) of the Reason soundbank. I think it's called 'Overdrive Lead'

It's got alot of lead guitar qualities, you could have a tweak and see how it goes...

  • hey man, how do you get the synth to build up higher through the bars?

    safe. awesome tut.

  • That's the ram lfo he puts on maelstrom.

  • how can u put lfos on maelstrom? ive used Thor b4 but my 1st time on maelstrom :D

  • LFO 1/2 -> Filter Frequency or Volume

I didn't watch the whole vid but learn how to use LFO's and your production will go up by ten fold

  • can you make a mp3 of this so i can put it on my ipod the song in the begin

  • i would like to know how do u build up a drum and bass drumbeat

u have a drum video yet but i havent seenwhat kind of samples u used in redrum and how do u put them together

    peace

  • Holy crap your stuff is intense and complicated props

  • i have learned most of what i know today about reason from you.

  • must say i applaud your generosity, a lot of people (including me!) would be reluctant to give away such tips after many years of learning them solo. great tuts mate, thats for the wisdom!

  • you.are.amazing

  • You are truly a great inspiration!

Just as SinisterBeats said, it would be great if you could show us your hi-tec mastering skills in a nice tutorial! As well as some polishing to the sound.

    Either way, you da man!

  • Comment removed

  • he has a mastering tutorial for reason.

It's called reason 4 tutorial - mastering. It would have been in the " More From: loki1200" column on the right of the screen while you were watching this video ; )

  • Yes I've seen that one, but I mean like some really advanced stuff like logic mastering tutorial. I mean the Idunn track is just out of this world! That's some mixing I'd would like to see :)

  • mad sounds fella

  • legend!

  • you are a genius mate

i ve learned everything i know from your tutorials

    thanks

  • proper bit ov synth there m8 ,,,, nice work 5 * as ever =]

  • Chears m8, your the best, keep up the good work well impressed with your beats, could you do more on drums ive seen that tutorial on getting them to sound great but not how you put them together, like what to put where in redrum thanks, Graham.

  • Thanks man. :)

  • Haha, its funny because I did wonder how you made that synth :P

I was proud because I opened up Reason and managed to make something similar :D

But I did it a totally different way :P

Nice tutorial as usual though, youve gotta be the most inspiring and helpful producer on youtube man :P your tunes are fucking ace

  • wow loki ur the best dnb producer on youtube dude wow.. u should be on vinyl

  • oh wow, i was expecting a thor.

  • Been helpful for me too, thanks mate :)

  • sounds awsum! do you master your tunes within reason? if so can i request a more advanced mastering tutorial to the one you have already done?
