If just one law abiding citizen had been carrying a gun this could have been avoided entirely or at least kept the loss of life to a minimum. How convenient: the police still have guns in UK. I though those were only criminals that were left with guns by the gun ban. (correct me if my geography is wrong)

@belizeandiver thats why we have one of the lowest crime rates in the world with guns and america has the highest, i have lived in the centre of the biggest city in this country for 30 years and i have never even herd of someone having or using a gun, we have had only 3 gun related deaths in the last 5 years in the whole country, and YES we thank our educated politicians for that.

@JihadAeon Hi, i am not sure what the benefit is in covering up the facts for the media agencies, but either way the fact is that governments need to be proactive with firearms, reducing the number of them now will be the best thing for future generations, 'They cant use them if they cant get them'. The only other option is to give everyone a gun and hope for the best, i know which option i prefer. I am from New Zealand btw.
