@bigwootaw i think that abel lacks a good-quick antiair, crouching mk is not enough, and it has very bad matchup with thawk and zangief. Though it became a lot better in ssf4 still cant compete with higher tiers as balrog with its unbeatable headbutt. I'd love to see a quick antiair like cody's

@acwh79 it is a skill that to avoid oppopent back dash. For example, you jump and press HP and C.HK at the same time. If you HP is missed, the C.HK would be performed. If not, you can continue your combo with your HP.

@wccira basically he's inputting the command for demon in a situation where, depending on what abel does, two different priorities take effect. If abel rolls, then the kick part of the demon command whiffs and therefore the demon takes effect and catches abel whilst he's rolling. If he blocks, then the kick gets blocked and demon doesn't come out.

@FireBlazenTKX I'm not sure precisely what the input is for that option select but it might be something along the lines of pressing the appropriate kick at the same time as the last inputs of the demon, I'm not an Akuma main, but I'm sure you can find a better, more detailed explanation on SRK's Akuma boards.

@Wulfsten1987 I believe the input is the demon flip then the palm, which doubles as the first punch input for the demon. If the opponent blocks, then the palm will hit and then they're in block stun.

If they backdash, or, in this case, Abel does a roll to try and get out, the palm whiffs and then the demon comes out, thus, grabbing him.

Overall, a lot of the commentary is interesting, but my goodness how many ways has that one guy messed up terminology. I remember the SSFIV fight club before the game came out, he was going around calling it "Sonic Hurricane Kick", and now here right at the beginning, he talks about Akuma "Standing round house to standing jab to LOW ROUNDHOUSE". WTF? It's a sweep, or a trip. How on earth do you get a low roundhouse from that?

Its just an old school way of saying light, medium, and heavy attacks. The commentators like S-Kill and James Chen are just OG street fighters is all. I guess once you learn the name of moves a certain way, it's hard to drop them.

@djmaui When you hold down the Focus Attack ( Med Punch and Med Kick ) it gives you a deflection like guard ( Called Hyper Armor ) which "absorbs" a hit. It's quite useful, but, a quick follow-up hit can still connect, and moves like Dudley's Corkscrew Cross Ultra, actually break through the Hyper Armor, so it's not total safety. Hope this helps a little.

@csynn No Momochi would not have done a better job because Momochi plays Akuma much differently. Momochi plays akuma more like a ryu, he has superior zoning, uppercuts jumps ins and is very strong with footsies. Tokido plays Akuma with a vortex that is unmatched. He has the best vortex in the world, and you cannot argue that. Once you're down, he keeps you down. Both playstyles work and are equally devastating but I would argue that momochi would have done "Different" Job.
