Im not being a troll or anything but i really dont see the point in the blowback systems for airsofting, as a keen airsofter myself it doesnt make any difference to the overall gun apart from making an external moving part. Talking to my friends they say it just ruins your piston and is pretty much wasteful.

I understand with airsoft people try and make its as realistic as possible and this is a good way to do that, but i just dont see any point in them.

@bullseatpizza Yeah I understand your point, but on the other hand, they are really fun. Have a go with one when you get a chance, sounds really nice. Blowback on AEG can be sucky depending on the system. Gas is the future, if only they could make it as affordable. Thanks for the comment..

And yeah i started off with a springer and now i have an electric. Gas is what i want and is defintly the future but i wouldnt be able to afford to play like i do now with it.

@bullseatpizza Appart from my pistols all my rifles are AEGs, I have seen the new GBB rifles in action and they're really nice, but need alot of work maintaining. Also buying mags for them is sooooo expensive. The scientists will figure it out though. Or...rather the engineers :-p

the real thing can kill you. airsoft can't, to use the real thing you need to join the army. or be a very luck cadet. to use an airsoft gun, you just need the money to get one.

The downside of this gun is the piston. It's crap, and it's non standart, that means no replacements. However there exists a spacer kit, with which you can use a good, normal piston for your L85. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post links, so just google "redwolf airsoft", thei've got it there.

guay & guay made the replica, complete with stock piston system that can cause random jams. Star a2 is much better.

I have the G&G L85a2, after 2 months waiting for a replacement piston (the original broke after 2 days), i have a REAL FUCKING AWESOME GUN. Upgrade her with a M16a2 precision barrel and you have a excellent countersnipergun MUAHAHAHA :D

You can, it just takes a bit of modding, alternatively I saw on with a AOG on it yesterday which had a iron site on the top which I thought was pretty cool.
