The script sounds pretty bad, from what I've heard so far. Plus, Stewart and Pattinson don't look like they're putting any effort into their performances, if you could call them that; they just stare and keep a grim expression. This doesn't seem like acting. If it is, then it's not convincing for two people who are unconditionally in love. I may be wrong, but I'm entitled to an opinion.

@1robertfan1 I never said they were bad actors. Pattinson was really strong in Harry Potter 4, and Stewart was excellent in films as diverse as Panic Room and Zathura. I just think that, as Edward and Bella, they underplay so much that they don't seem that interested. Their relationship is also too one-note, which may be the script's fault moreso. Brooding for a whole film; too much. In the first two films, I never got the sense of true love that these two characters had for each other.

I enjoyed the first hour of Twilight and the way it set up the romance, but I thought it turned into a sub-par thriller in the last 30 minutes. I thought that New Moon was worse; Bella took some pretty selfish and stupid actions (it's even more disturbing when I hear her being referred to as a role model), the visual effects were awful and the romance seemed one-note. Taylor Lautner, Billy Burke and the Volturi saved it, though.
